Anything BUT whatever dumb ass 💩 WotC has recently done or is currently doing, literally ANYTHING

A little adventure design.

 You can fill in the details yourself and flesh it out into a wild ride. If asked, the story is based on the film "Cast a Deadly Spell", adapted and re-setting'd to D&D.

Sorry Sposta; it isn't exact, but it comes really close.

 Tales from the Radiant Citadel. One season per adventure. It can be anthology style (like American Horror Story or True Detective) and have a different cast for each season. It also has the big advantage of using something other than the vaguely European, vaguely middle ages setting that's the default for most D&D. It showcases the different kinds of things D&D can be. So much fantasy ends up being basically: Its Lord of the Rings but the ancient evil that's about to rise is different from LotR's ancient evil that's about to rise. Radiant Citadel gives lots of new, interesting choices.

Failing that, maybe my nostalgia would want Keep on the Borderlands.

I presume you mean prepublished. Yes? Are we sticking to official or including 3PP, and are we sticking to 5e, or are older editions viable as well?

Yes to prepublished.

I was thinking of any official 1st party stuff from any edition, but I am down for 3rd party anything. I just probably wouldn't know it unless you used judges guild between 77 and 82, lol.

 I'm a sucker for fantasy and YA romance, so I think I'll have to go with Strixhaven: a Curriculum of Chaos. Teen drama? check. Romance? Check. Fantasy? Check. School? Check. It would make my little heart explode (with happiness) to watch it.

 Yes, but the world is different enough from Harry Potter to make it unique and interesting on its own. Or at least I think so, which is why Strixhaven is one of my favorite campaign setting sourcebooks.

Horde of the Dragon Queen.

While I loved the story - reading the adventure, I did find it hard to run for my party (who - once they got into a specific flying castle were killing cultists left and right and bound to get caught....)

 Not exactly an adventure but I would LOVE to see the Legend of Drizzt book series to be turned into a show.

So, that earlier post about the whole adventuring day and experience and time to level hing?

Well, they changed how you figure out the adventuring day budget, simplified it a lot, and put a whole table in. I am mollified only because they did exactly what I did.

I pushed it a step further and set it up by encounter, adventure, and campaign.

unrelated, I just found out my small lizardman people ride a kind of cross between horses, lizards, and alligators. As in, while i was typing this.

And my final visual aesthetic for my world has a strong pixar-Disney vibes.

I run five different campaigns - all within the same (homebrew) world I created. I have one group, who are level 8 (I think) who are discovering that chromatic dragons are amassing to the west... One party (newest to the campaign, but all players from a previous campaign) who have uncovered that something is going on with the order of the giants (related to the dragons to the west)... one campaign takes place on an entirely different island that's cursed... and another one that takes place on a separate island that has portals that constantly open and close all over it, to various planes, due to an ancient war that took place there... the world is vast and large, where parties can be epic level or low level or mid level, and still all feel a part of it.

Uni and the Hunt for the Lost Horn - Because I loved the original show so much even if it was dumb.

Tomb of Horrors. If you trip every trap, you could have a huge rotation of cast members.

Question of the Day: Anyone dressing up for Halloween this year? 

This year is my last Halloween with my whole family before I move to Scotland so I’ll definitely be participating. I’m going to be Sweet Tooth from the amazing comic series by Jeff Lemire, the one the awesome show is based on. I’ll be using real deer bits for my costume, so real antlers strapped to my head and possibly real deer ears if my friend can shoot a deer before Halloween. Never jokingly ask a hunter for deer ears.

 I’m making myself a Wendigo costume. No real deer bits though.
