Oh nice! Anyway, Charles lights the match and approaches the riots, raising his match to them. He looks at the Coffee Squad and asks, "May I? I'd like to take a look in there and don't want to risk these things coming to life."
Meanwhile, Sean enters the bank and approaches the first guard/policeman he sees, saying, "I recieved a distress call from here. What's going on? Looks kinda like a bomb went off." He looks around, "Was there an attack?"
Sam has no qualms with Charles examining the roots, and as he gets closer, Charles spots that they writhe limply when exposed to the light of the match, but don't do too much other than that.
Meanwhile, the head officer tells Sean 'Terrorists teleported in and attacked, but we managed to negotiate a ceasefire. They're currently downstairs with some civilians, taking a look about, and although it's a risky move, it means we can direct actual officers towards fortifying for when they exit, which is where you come in. When they emerge back upstairs, we'll be waiting here to arrest them. We're not too concerned if they teleport out again either, as we now know what they look like and the majority of their powers. Plus, it's unlikely they'll even manage to get to anything down there. Those vaults are locked up tight.'

Athen walks up “I might be a valuable player here. I’m pretty sure none of them know what I can do, and as long as I can get a touch on anything nearby I may be able to neutralize them. Although I’m not sure what they can do. I might be able to make a sleeping gas if someone has a big enough bottle of water.”

[Thanks, sorry you've missed out, maybe there's a way your character could become included? It isn't like we can retcon them in cos of their power but I want everyone to be involved, so if you can think of any way to join in, feel free to make it happen!]

"These roots definitely have some form of animation, as I expected. I expect they are another form of security for this vault." Charles states, his expression flat as ever.
Sean looks at the policeman, "You tell me they teleported in, and in the same breath, you tell me they can't get in the vaults? I'm pretty sure I can keep them here. Could you identify which one the teleporter was?"
The officer looks back at Sean concerned and says 'Ah. Yes, that is a good point, I, err, hadn't thought of that.' He strokes his chin and says 'Well, it's not like we can set up a psychic wall as we did earlier with Officer Leith's power considering they have a psychic blocker, so maybe this might be more of an issue than we thought...' He mops his brow and tries to remain composed, though it seems he really isn't trained for these situations, seeing as he's given the terrorists exactly what they wanted, and sent a group of civilians off with them. He tries to salvage the situation by saying 'It seems they aren't after money in the first place though, so hopefully the damage will be minimal!' After this pretty hopeless statement, he continues with 'We couldn't gather much on the teleporter suspect. We never actually saw them come in, and they were all masked with full body armour, so they're yet to be fully identified.' Seems like this officer, whatever his power is, was better suited to guarding the door than making good decisions on the fly.
Meanwhile, down below, Tod kicks at the roots. They flop limply around his ankle but don't really move otherwise, seeing as they appear slightly wilted on closer inspection.
[Himy, if you wanna get involved and have a character idea, feel free to either PM me or post it here and we can get an intro sorted for them soon so we can get you playing again!]

Sean shrugs and says, "We need to identify which one the teleporter is. Or maybe the psychic blocker. My power allows me to temporarily shut down another person's power. If we can take down the psychic blocker, Officer Leith can set up a Psychic Wall."
Charles is entirely unimpressed with Tam's kicking of the roots. He says, "It shouldn't be to hard for you to create a portal to the other side of this door, should it?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sean walks towards the security center of the bank and opens the cameras. He curses out loud when all that shows up is static. He pulls up the offline backup of the video, which shows the group entering and the first round after it, before it dissolves into fuzz. He tries to identify the teleporter, or perhaps the blocker. 9

Sean gets a hazy look at the group through the few operational cameras (lucky the bank had themselves a private generator for the upstairs!), but even with some deep scrutiny, Sean can't find much to distinguish them clearly. Sean can guess who's who power-wise based on the events that happen when they arrived and attacked, but they're still all covered up in masks and body armour, so there are little determining factors between them, other than height of course. Sean can tell that the teleporter is the tallest [I think Jester mentioned Henri was like 6 foot something], and the psychic blocker is in the mid ranges height-wise. Sean also gets the sense that they're older than the majority of the group based on demeanour alone, but can't be sure.

[I shouldn't probably reveal this until someone tries, but with the roots forcing their way through the thin gap in the vault door, you actually get advantage on any attempts to pry it open since the seal is mainly broken!]
*So shiver, my idea for the other character was a perpetually tired doctor, specifically a Infectious Disease Specialist (pretty much a Pathologist) who uses his power to manipulate viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites in the air with his blood. As long as his black is exposed to the air in some capacity, he can change the makeup of pathogens, making them more or less infectious, causing them to be more resistant or susceptible to certain antibiotics, or even changing the symptoms. While he can still get sick, he’s more resistant to disease, as the moment they enter his bloodstream, he can control them. As for personality, he’s constantly tired, and incredibly lazy, taking every break he can on his work days, and using every day off he gets. When he is working, he’s doing things as efficiently as possible, because the more work he gets done, the sooner he can go home*
