Yeah. My guild decided, since several of us either work with the elderly, with young children, or are in the medical system, to cancel RL sessions and have moved online. Honestly, I’ve been able to do a lot more using the roll20 system at least for my maps (I’m a horrible artist). The only thing I’m having trouble navigating is keeping track of all the tabs I have up in session: the roll20 interface, google hangout, dndbeyond’s encounter tracker, my NPC’s character sheet, AND my campaign notes. But it’s worth it to squash the curve.

Yeah, that sort of thing can get wild very quickly. The laptop I game on is kind of a slug at this point, so it can drag pretty hard when I've got so many tabs open.
I've heard of people using OneNote to great effect there, since you can do rather intricate partitioning of your notes and information into different sections, and give other people (i.e. players) access to selected tabs and documents from within there. YMMV.
Of course, there's always keeping most of this in front of you as a physical object anyhow. I never have to worry about the players glancing at the notes I'm jotting down on a legal pad when they're not in the same room.
When is my state Governor going to order everyone to stay inside? It is necessary.
Did you also hear about that rule that you're not allowed to test for Covid-19 in a state that hasn't had any confirmed positives yet? My sister knows someone who thinks she has it, but they won't let her take a test, because where she lives is a state where they don't have any cases yet.

Also, Levi, going outside is very good to NOT get the virus. It is not like crowded inside spaces where it can travel easily. (coming from an introvert btw)

I know that going outside isn't inherently bad if you do it alone, and go to places that there aren't people, but staying inside is better overall, you can't be infected if your whole family doesn't leave the house, and people don't come over.

I hate love to say it, but you are probably right. Going outside if it is incubating in you without symptoms might cause it to contaminate a surface. Even if noone is with you, there is still a decent chance someone else will pass by there within 4 days (generally how long coronavirus survives on inanimate objects) and may bump into something you bumped into a few days before. However, staying inside will contain the virus, and as long is everyone in the household is healthy and doesn't need a hospital visit, it will probably burn out.

Exactly. Stay inside. The disease is terrible, and will mess up your lungs for the rest of your life if you get that far into the symptoms. It will mess you up, and it is just best to stay inside.

Interesting to see the evolution of this thread from not at all going to cancel, don't take it seriously, to yes I'm cancelling, it's serious, etc.
How the mindset has changed in just a week and a bit.
Not to try to make this political, but it's because of Trump's response to it at first. Calling it a hoax, saying the Democrats were blowing it out of proportion, saying it is the "Chinese Virus", trying to tell people to go to work if they're sick, asking if Flu Shots would help against it.
Most of us are from America, I assume, and most people react to a problem similarly to how our leaders react to it. If the government leaders don't think it's a big deal, most Americans won't.
This is why the mindset has changed. There has been a huge change in the government's reaction to this virus in the past couple of weeks, so the public is reacting differently than they were a couple weeks ago.

Stay home. It will save lives. If you don't cancel your sessions in real life, you will possibly be costing people of their lives, and causing long lasting damage to other people's (maybe even your own) lungs.

I never take my cues from the White House, i work in the healthcare industry. I was warning people how bad this would be weeks ago.
Yes, I know that not everyone listens directly to what the White House is saying, but the change in their response to the disease has likely changed millions of people's opinions on the severity of the virus. The response that your local and state governments have had to the disease have likely been shaped by the national government's response, and the response of your community and state has likely influenced the opinions of the people in your community that previously didn't think it was a big deal.
Good for you and the others who knew from the beginning that this disease was going to be bad and cancelled your sessions because of this from the beginning, like I did.
Good to those of you who didn't think it was a big deal at first because of misinformation, but are now cancelling sessions and practicing social distancing because of the disease.
You may not be a specific example of having your mind changed because of the government's response to this, but trust me, there are a ton of people out there that didn't think this was a big deal at all because of how the national government was reacting to it at first. Much of my family (including my grandparents and father) didn't think it was a big deal, and wouldn't cancel events or work until our city ordered today to stay home unless absolutely necessary (groceries, emergency doctor appointments, so on).

Thank you. They were fairly distant, haven’t seen them since I was a kid. But literally half of my family lives in Northern Italy, and I am close to many of them. For a country the size of Florida to have to dig mass graves..... They have a tradition of exhuming remains and reinterring them within mausoleums as a way to save space in their graveyards, and also to make visiting lost loved ones more accessible. But with mass graves filled with thousands.... I don’t know how they will be able to tell them all apart when it’s time to reinter them, or even if they’ll try.
I have a cousin I am very close to living in Vietnam at the moment too. if she steps one foot outside of her apartment she will be rounded up and automatically quarantined simply because she is a foreigner.
Stay home, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay in touch so we know you’re alive. Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Dertinus lately?
