Yes, please stay home. I have already lost family in Italy because of CV19, I don’t want to lose any of you too.
So sorry for your loss :(
Australia has a similar situation than in the UK & US where confusion of messaging has resulted in a 1/3 of our population (recent survey) saying this was a nothingburger. Doesn't stop everyone panic-buying and leaving shelves empty though.

Thank you. They were fairly distant, haven’t seen them since I was a kid. But literally half of my family lives in Northern Italy, and I am close to many of them. For a country the size of Florida to have to dig mass graves..... They have a tradition of exhuming remains and reinterring them within mausoleums as a way to save space in their graveyards, and also to make visiting lost loved ones more accessible. But with mass graves filled with thousands.... I don’t know how they will be able to tell them all apart when it’s time to reinter them, or even if they’ll try.
I have a cousin I am very close to living in Vietnam at the moment too. if she steps one foot outside of her apartment she will be rounded up and automatically quarantined simply because she is a foreigner.
Stay home, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay in touch so we know you’re alive. Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Dertinus lately?
Or Pallghost for that matter?
Dertinus hasn't been on in a couple days as far as I know.

Interesting to see the evolution of this thread from not at all going to cancel, don't take it seriously, to yes I'm cancelling, it's serious, etc.
How the mindset has changed in just a week and a bit.
Not to try to make this political, but it's because of Trump's response to it at first. Calling it a hoax, saying the Democrats were blowing it out of proportion, saying it is the "Chinese Virus", trying to tell people to go to work if they're sick, asking if Flu Shots would help against it.
Most of us are from America, I assume, and most people react to a problem similarly to how our leaders react to it. If the government leaders don't think it's a big deal, most Americans won't.
This is why the mindset has changed. There has been a huge change in the government's reaction to this virus in the past couple of weeks, so the public is reacting differently than they were a couple weeks ago.
Well, I don't know how this turned into politics, it was an innocent observation. At that point last week I was still in the shock phase of how fast things devolved in 1 week. This thread was an interesting snapshot of that attitude. Nothing political about it.
I'm also not a US citizen, so please don't assume. We are all in this thing together, my comment wasn't meant to upset anyone.

Yep, I know. It's cool that you're not from the US, how is your country handling things?
The majority of people on this website are American, so I guess it was a fallacy to assume that you were, but the general American is influenced by the response of the government more than they tend to think.
Well, that's just my take. I still don't want this tread to turn political, just pointing out why the opinion on this thread changed so rapidly.

I'm in Canada, and so far I think that we've been handling it well. The citizens themselves, not so much. Hoping it doesn't devolve into mandatory stay at home orders. I'm off work now. Looking at online D&D options lately, but my group doesn't seem too keen on it unfortunately. Will probably have to find another group somewhere out there!

It must be nice to live in Canada. I want to move there some day.
We're not handling it well. We just passes 1,000 total deaths, and the numbers of cases are still growing exponentially.

I live in Australia and I think the Australian economy is non-existent now. Especially after not just the Bushfires driving the tourists away but also this Coronavirus keeping them out.
The people have been good, the economy hasn't been good or at least what I can make out, I am just 13 anyways. It's good how the burnt trees are now growing back, luckily we didn't get our house burnt down during the fire, but I can't even imagine how the people that have no home are coping. Most of the money that was donated to the RFS and the people that lost their home didn't actually receive any money to rebuild.
Both of my groups are. One is on hiatus until this passes, the other is going to roll20 for the short term.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
Back on topic, when this started we were going to play in person but have since moved to discord till this all blows over.
Bonus is that it takes out the driving time. Won't be the same as in person but it'll make due. Better to be safe about it. Don't have any greater restoration in real life.

I work at a funeral home and unfortunately I can't stay home. I've been working every single day since the outbreak started. So far in my county here in Missouri we don't have any confirmed cases, so the two groups I play with are still meeting in person but we are taking extra precautions when we meet.
