Nope. You can't divide by zero. x/0 is undefined.

a = b
//multiply both sides by a

a^2 = ab
//subtract b^2 from each 

a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
//factor them out

(a-b) * (a+b) = b(a-b)
//divide both sides by (a-b

a + b = b
//substitute b for a

b+b = b
//simplify

2b = b
//divide each side by b; we stated a, b =/= 0 so this is fine

2 = 1

 

Further, let's subtract one from each side

1 = 0

Now we can get crazy. Let x and y be real numbers.

x = x = x + 0 = x + y*0

or to get to the point quicker

x = x + y*0

And because we saw 1 = 0 this also means

x = x + y*1

So now we can make any number equal to another number. Want to do 3 = 5?
Well 3 = 3 + 2*0 = 3 + 2*1
Boom! 3 = 5

 

 Okay, so here is the cool thing. There is nothing wrong with this math as far as the formulas. But this anamoly is only the case when you subtract b² from a=b. In any other case, it is not so. I have seen this used to suggest we have done math all wrong all put lives but the case is this is one of the many faults in math itself. Math is not always accurate belive it or not. Nothing is perfect...even math. This is a strange paradox for this situation only. So the only thing wrong I have to say is 2 does not =1 no matter what math says, and neither does 3 =5. It's common sense. Often sticking to the basics keeps you rooted in reality.

There's actually a big issue with my math and it's not when we subtract b^2 from each side. It's when I divide each side by (a-b). Remember a=b so a-b=0 which means we're dividing by zero and that's not allowed.

 (Just why? Just why? They really can't help themselves when it comes to dragging stuff out. I dont even have anything against anime but its so random.. thats like If i made a manga series about Fezzik and Inigo, like 90% of the fanbase doesnt care. The Hobbit wasn't liked by a good chunk of people, and even the people who do like it think theres problems, the Rings of Power wasn't liked by a lot of people, and im sure this will be liked by even less people. Ugh. I mean maybe it wont be absolute trash but at the same time trying to live up to a movie series thats literally rated 9/10 for every movie is just a bad idea)
