now, I have two questions for you:

Have you seen the 2024 rogue? It’s awesome.

and second, do you think a tarrasque should have a burrowing speed?

 No and no. A tarrasque is pretty much just a mutant T-rex right? How would they burrow with such short stubby arms? Also, it'd make them even harder to beat, because aren't most creatures with burrow speeds able to stay underground?

 The rogue gains new uses for sneak attack dice and can trade some of the dice for stuff like poisoning enemies and basically throwing pocket sand in their eyes.

and also, the Tarrasque is actually closer to an indominus rex. (Or a turtle-ox-lion hybrid, If you use the original tarrasque) and it has been known in lore to live beneath the earth when hibernating. Look at the 5e art for the Tarrasque, its arms are pretty big.

 Oooooooooooh. Sounds cool!

Oh yeah, forgot it's arms are bigger.

 Also, Arcane trickster no longer has a restriction on its spell schools! So now it can cast fireball :>

anyways, I found a fun statblock, the Dire tarrasque. It’s an improved version of the Tarrasque because the current tarrasque is ungodly weak! Fun fact, a level one Aarakocra character with a magical longbow can kill a tarrasque all by their self! And there is nothing they can do about it!

 *breaks into WotC headquarters and runs off with a stolen One D&D PHB*

What do mean 'ungodly weak'?! The aaracockra strategy only works if 1.) They're REALLY lucky on their attack rolls, and 2.) If they have the patience and determination to go through all of that.

 The Aarakocra, on every attack, has at least a 5 percent chance to hit. If they keep rolling, they will eventually kill it. The main thing about the Tarrasque is yeah, it can do a lot of damage, but it has no ranged attacks, fly speed, or climb speed. A 3rd level spell can win a fight against this thing, because it has no ranged options whatsoever. Also, they got rid of it’s regeneration it had in previous editions.

 But imagine how boring it would be just going back and forth with tarrasque for like hours on end until you finally kill it. There's nothing exciting about that, no thrill of battle... it would just be as close to torture as you could get. (Or maybe that's just me. My ADHD makes it hard to sit still and do one single thing for a while unless things are constantly changing. That's why I like unpredictable battles with fun mechanics.)

 Well yes, if I was DMing I’d just skip that. But the main thing about it is that there is seriously nothing the Tarrasque would do, it would just lose.

The keys to change that.

1: The Tarrasque is heading towards a city the PCs love. Killing it isn't a win if the city is destroyed.

Also I would actually go with an arrakocra wizard/sorcerer/warlock at lv1 for beating the tarrasque.

Take Mind Sliver. It's an INT save. So even assuming a standard +3 in casting mod that's DC 13. Tarrasque has +5 on INT saves. So instead of the 5% chance of doing damage with a magic (no-plusses) bow you now have a 35% of the tarrasque failing its saving throw. Plus each time it fails a save increases the odds of failing the next one.

 Good point… but still, flight just makes A tarrasque fight pretty easy, because it only has so many reactions for opportunity attacks and stuff.

though I would be interested testing out an encounter with my fun new dire tarrasque…

 No! We gotta finish both the Widow and Efreeti fights first!

 But dedication is haaaaaarrrrd

I feel like every time I join a play by post my brain goes like, “I’ll respond laaater,” or forgets about it completely until a notification shows up, where I then check the thread and realize everyone’s been waiting on me and I respond tons in a short period of time and then the cycle repeats but the first part gets slightly longer and longer each time…

Had a message I sent in the group chat for that asking about people's interest in continuing. Since you mentioned you aren't able to access those at the moment due to... technical issues... would you be a yea or nay? (Either is fine, just want to check.)

 Thats why in real life D&D is so fun, I mean personally every D&D game I've tried online feels stale in comparison. You've dedicated your time and now showing up is probably something you wont do. Granted, you need a good DM and to have group agreements, but like seriously its so much better. Its the difference between watching a movie and reading the dialogue of a movie, seeing the DM act out the monsters and people, hearing peoples reactions to their dice rolls, its so real. Online its easy to communicate when something is funny but like "lol" doesnt actually mean you're  laughing, usually it just means you think its funny, least from what I've seen. And everyone online you'll never really know unless you've met them in real life. I never really text my irl friends unless its like "when is thing A?" "Can you make it today?" stuff like that, because its just so hard to understand someone without tone, body language, and facial expressions. Sorry about the long message, I just dont like playing online compared to a real life game

(Also yes I'm aware emoji exist but I still think its a poor excuse)

Regarding the Tarrasque, a kraken (CR 23, so close) can beat it. So can a clay golem (CR 5, 25 CR away). Both are immune to all forms of damage the Tarrasque can do to it. There may be more, but those are the ones I know. 

Hopefully they fix it in the 2024 Monster Manual.
