no, the earth's orbit isn't a perfect circle; when the earth is farther away, it receives less light. you also forgot to factor in things like solar flares, the solar cycle, and eclipses. therefore, it doesn't receive the same amount of light

And the fact that the sun is constantly using up its own energy. It has a lot, but it’s a finite, constantly decreasing amount, causing less solar energy to be produced. For example, in prehistoric times, the world had a higher average temperature.
