Yeah, I was off my school computer over the weekend. (I was 100% about to post "Who are you talking to?" because my brain translated that to "Hi, it's been a while since I saw you." I might need to lock in :/)
How's it going, Gato?

Well helped another two guys with their character creation.
One guy surprised me somewhat. He'd initially thought he'd be a simpler spellcaster (I suggested warlock) but today he decided he wants to go more an assassin-type route so we made a rogue for him. And when he wasn't sure what race to pick his friend was like, "You could always just be a man." So he's a V-Human and since he says he often has terrible luck in games he was quite happy to learn about the Lucky feat.
Other guy wasn't too sure initially but then the idea of wildshape was intriguing to him. (lv 1 one-shot, so that'll come the time after) So helped him with making a druid. And he took a liking to frostbite so will see that.

Oh, that sounds cool! Tbh (I don't mean to offend them) but new D&D players always come up with the strangest/wildest character ideas

My first character was a cleric of Prometheus High Elf. For some reason. I’m pretty sure I thought clerics at the time were more like paladins.

Yep it has been fun seeing what they come up with.
One guy (helped a couple days earlier) say Create/Destroy Water and was hoping to see someone take lightning spells to combo that. (AFAIK nothing RAW there, but was certainly willing to go the homebrew route to make it work if it came up. Since honestly the creativity and teamwork aspect of that makes me want to have it work.)
And one of the guys did decide to become a Newtonite. (The religion that cleric player made. Worshippers of Newton, god of gravity and flight.)
As for the essay, Weslockes, why are you writing it by hand? I don't remember ever being forced to do that in high school. Is this something that happened as teachers being like, "If it's handwritten we can make sure it's not ChatGPT."?
@General
Still got the CR 15 demon frog fight set up for Baalz and Weslockes. Could use a couple other people too. Lv 10 characters!

I'm genuinely unsure -- I think it's something to do with ChatGPT, but our teacher's been letting us use AI in class, and we've had other classes we're supposed to write by hand. I guess the thing is that they give us these computers and we're very good at getting easily distracted -- maybe just keeping us off our computers instead trying to prevent the whole can of worms that's come with AI?
Also (unrelated) -- Newtonites sound awesome. That's definitely going in my next cleric/paladin.
