IMO there's not much point to deleting the account. Not like having it undeleted makes you have to use the forums. (And having all the posts go away removes reading of threads.)
I honestly think it'd be neat if we could try to restore the forums to their former glory but I know that'd be a difficult task. Plus I'm not really sure how we would do that, and what was good about the 'good old days' is subjective.

Me and Dutch spoke about the same issue- its a tough one, but I encourage everyone to keep a hero's mindset. Maybe recent events are more of a purifying than anything, something to get rid of any tension and learn from. A chance to rebuild?
And gibbers right too to be fair, the good old days are subjective. To me the good old days were 2022 and 2023, but that may be very different for many, and just about impossible to replicate. But maybe we can all agree this at least isn't what we want. Through what I've heard, read, and had conversations about, everyone I used to love like family and a bunch of other people new and old now hate each other and themselves, when at least in the "good old days" -however you frame them- we didn't have that. Not much anyways.
It feels a bit like being a child leaving a home full of love and memories and bonds and coming back to see all your siblings are killing each other and that they've set the house on fire in the process, breaking friendships I looked fondly on for years. Not that this is a situation I can really be involved in or comment on as I chose to leave a while back and shouldn't really come back just when there's issues, but it makes me pretty sad and angry on a personal level to see people I trusted mess everything up for themselves on a place I held so dear, almost like a betrayal or a breaking of trust. I feel like I trusted those who stayed once I left to keep the good times we all had rolling so to speak. There's a lot of close friends that I won't really be able to forgive, even if they did nothing to me, just cause of the state they've left the place in right now. But moving away from the personal view, its important to know that this is just a state, and its just for now, over dramatizing this won't really help I don't think. And the "good old days" can return, minus a few people maybe.

I don't know if there is a direct way, but possibly (Copy and paste before following steps tho)
1. Navigate to sign out
2. Sign out
3. Click on your google profile
4. Manage your google account
5. Go to security
6. Open the third-party apps thingy
7. Go to DDB (Both if u have the app)
8. Delete connections
9. Do that again for the app if u have it
10. Leave
11. Restart computer
12. Open DDB and check.
