We were invited to a celebration of Bahaumat, with a person we suspected to be a dragon leading it. Not even a minute in, an ADULT blue dragon flew in, with a young one and two wyrmlings, and demanded the area as their own. The person leading confirmed our suspicious by turning into a bronze dragon, thankfully. They flew in the air to combat, which the DM actually rolled, sadly. Meanwhile we were left with a few Kobolds to fight the remaining three. We were given control of some of the kobolds, mine being a bard named Zark. The dragons went first, nearly downing 4 of us immediately. Next Zark, who cast Vicious mockery and yelled, “Your Ego is bigger than your horn, and that’s saying something.” The wyrmling smiled and replied, “Why thank you.”
yada yada yada, I cast moonbeam and the Kenku paladin protected me from getting hit. More yada, knocked to -10 by lightning breath, immediately rolled a nat 20 on my first death save, followed by another nat 20 death save from another player.
We killed both the wyrmlings, and I went into a ‘rage’ as the young dragon killed many kobolds, wildshaping into a Dire wolf. After my first attack, the bronze dragon fell from the sky as they failed the fight above, and the ADULT blue dragon flew back down and knocked me back down to 0. Everyone but Zack went down, and he cast Vicious Mockery and for the first time it worked, dealing 1 damage.
Nearly everyone went down. Then we had to end because we ran out of time. We just agreed that we theoretically kept rolling nat 20’s straight. I personally imagined it as a dream.

Wow. That's definitely tough fight for a lv4 party. And guessing the rolling of the bronze vs blue fighting slowed things down? At least y'all lived.
