Spoilering cause kinda long rant (stuff related to religion if you're sensitive about that):
So basically, one of my siblings is graduating from school soon. So today, we were going to a ceremony that was supposed to give farewells to the students graduating from that school. The ceremony itself, however, barely did that. The only main thing they did was put a small bit of text on the back of a pamphlet saying goodbye. Mainly they had guests come on and talk about Christianity, which I don't really get why there were talking about that in a ceremony for a school, not church. (To be fair, it was held at/sponsored by a church, but that doesn't mean they should almost entirely twist the meaning of the ceremony like that.) I myself am an atheist, and I doubt I was the only non-Christian there, so it felt kinda awkward to just sit there listening to them talk about a religion when you aren't part of that religion. They even said stuff about how if you weren't Christian, they're hoping you join them. Like, I came to show support for my sibling, not for people to attempt to convert me.
NOTE (PLEASE READ): I am not trying to start a religious debate. If someone is reading this rant that doesn't agree with me being an atheist, or wants to bring up anything related to the existence of a higher power, please don't post about that. You have your opinion, I have mine, and I'd prefer if you and I kept our opinions to ourselves. I am merely posting this to rant, and in this case it's somewhat difficult to do that without bringing up religion.
