Doing alright. Ended up make the pesto pasta today and grilling up some chicken. Tasted decent. Not the 100% best I've ever made, but nice to have as an option.

The fires aren’t affecting me personally, but a lot of my friends and even one of my teachers have family members whose houses have been burned down. So it’s a bit depressing, but i’m doing fine.
in other news, I’m changing one of my classes from Dance to Drama. Usually I’d have to find someone to switch with, but nobody wants to be in dance, and everyone wants to be in drama, but the drama teacher really likes me so he is basically saying, ‘yeah, no, you can join.’
Nice on the class swap. And quite delightful the teacher likes you a lot.
Also points to some of the education differences. Back in my high school Dance was a P.E. subject so the Dance/Drama swap would've have that issue. It ended up being popular for kids that weren't as inclined to the physical stuff. IIRC the big three choices were sports, dance, or using the weights/cardio room.
With Drama any particular things you're looking forward to? Plays, improv, vocal acting? (I don't know the terminology...)
So I’m currently in one drama class, and once I switch I’ll have two. My first, acting for musical theatre, focuses on… well, musical theatre. Specifically vocals, acting while singing, as well as monologues and songs you can audition with. Right now I’m actually trying to memorize the last part of the blocking (movements) of my solo song I’m working on for that class.
the one I’m trying to join is a more general drama class, just all about acting in general, also writing and the structures of the story since one of the main projects is writing, rehearsing, and practicing a play. Although that’s later in the semester, I’m not entirely sure what they’re doing now.
my school’s P.E. Classes are really weird, because some of the dance classes don’t count (being the one I’m currently taking, which is one semester long, hence why I’m changing it after winter break, I just got it) and then most of the other ones do, like the 3 levels of Ballet, modern, and Jazz respectively.
