Posted May 8, 2019Favorite thing about them is that they are theoretically tamable. The giants used them as mounts back during the war with the dragons so they have the potential to be the coolest mounts possible for a high level party.

Posted Sep 28, 2019The Roc can target any creature in range with its talons, unless it has something grappled. If so, they can only target the grappled creature and they will have advantage on that attack. This shows how this creature fights. It is not concerned about beating a group of adventurers in combat, once it has a snack or is going to fly away and devour it, returning only for another when it has finished with the last.

Posted Jan 23, 2020Giants ride these. That’s enough information for e.
I’d probably portray these are larger than a 20’x20’ space.

Posted May 14, 2020Beasts are nonhumanoid creatures that are a natural part of the fantasy ecology. Some of them have magical powers, but most are unintelligent and lack any society or language. Beasts include all varieties of ordinary animals, dinosaurs, and giant versions of animals.
Monstrosities are monsters in the strictest sensefrightening creatures that are not ordinary, not truly natural, and almost never benign. Some are the results of magical experimentation gone awry (such as owl bears), and others ,are the product-of terrible curses (including minotaurs and yuan-ti). They defy categorization, and in some sense serve as a catch-all category for creatures that don't fit into any other type.
I’ll let you do what you want with this information, but weren’t Rocs created by storm and cloud giants? I think that alone classifies them as monstrosities.

Posted May 16, 2020This is important information.
20’ by 20’ are the minimum dimensions for a Gargantuan creature. They are often much bigger. For example, the tarrasque is 70 feet long.

Posted Jun 25, 2020Defeated is a harsh word since the creature needs to be friendly or charmed by you. Most monstrosities won't be friendly to start.
