an adventure for Level 1 characters This adventure is designed to fill one or two sessions of play. It can take place in any heavily forested region. If you start the characters at level 2, skip the gathering of samples from the redwood trees in the grove and move the characters directly to the entrance of the dragonβs lair (area R4).
The Recommended Character Levels table indicates the level characters should be when they begin each chapter. At designated points in the campaign, the characters should have enough XP to reach the required level for the next part of the story. If youβre using a method of level advancement that doesnβt rely on XP, the characters gain a level when the campaign says so.
