Passive score should be 10+bonuses+5 for advantage.
With a 20 wisdom, they have a +5. With expertise at level 5, proficiency bonus is +6. The passive insight score shows +11 for 21.
Except that the character is a Pallid elf, so they have advantage on Insight checks. There should be an additional +5. So it should be the staggeringly massive 26 passive insight. The score calculates as 21 on the character sheet,
There is no modifier subtype for “passive insight” like there is for “passive investigation” and “passive perception.” They haven’t created that one yet, so there is no way to modify that one yet.

Not sure what you mean here. You can't modify any of those scores on the character sheet. The system calculates them and doesn't allow user input. It does track advantage and disadvantage for passive investigation and passive perception.

The way the system calculates those is through the use of Modifiers and Modifier Subtypes. Those get attached to the various Subclasses, Races, Feats, etc., when they are being programmed. There is a Modifier named “Bonus” and there are Modifier Subtypes named “Passive Investigation” and “Passive Persuasion.” So, when combined the system can add those bonuses to those passive scores for a character sheet that receives those bonuses. There is no Modifier Subtype for Passive Insight, so that is not something that the system can do. If the DDB Devs program a “Passive Insight Modifier Subtype,” then it will work. I have no idea how easy/difficult that would be. I presume difficult or they would have done it by now.

Another hasn't been an update yet, I have advantage on perception checks and I still get the plus 5 from advantage on my senses which makes it a 21 instead of a 16

What is it that’s granting your character advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks? If it’s homebrew the author might have not remembered to add the separate Modifier that adds the bonus to passive Perception.
Two years later, my passives are still calculated by 10 + perception/insight/investigation + 5 (observant). I should have a +18 for passive perception. 10 + wis (+3) + 5 (observant) = 18. Instead it says my passive perception is 22: 10 + 7 (perception) + 5 (observant) = 22
No overrides on my part that I am aware of/have intentionally done. You can check for yourself if you like, see if I have done something wrong. My passive perception, investigation, and insight are all calculated the same way.

Your passive scores all look correct. Your passive Perception is correct (10 base + 7 bonus + 5 Observant = 22), your passive Investigation looks correct (10 + 5 + 5 = 20), and your passive Insight looks correct as per DDB’s bug with not being able to apply Observant to Insight (10 base + 11 bonus = 21), although it should really be 26 with Observant, so you should probably customize your passive insight to add a +5 miscellaneous bonus to adjust for that. Since you have proficiency in those skills (or expertise), you also add your PB to those passive scores (or 2×PB).
Hi!
I was looking at the math for my passive insight score on a character and something seems off.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
This does seem like a bug. I will pass this on to the team. Thanks!

I appreciate it! The folks at Fandom need to hire you guys some more programmers with all the constant updates!

Bump to this thread. I'd definitely like to see this calculation corrected.
Bug's present with the Pallid Elf's racial advantage on Insight but it works with Investigation, currently just using the override to math it myself
Please do not bump threads, as it's against forum rules. The bug has been passed on, when there is an update we will advise.

Just created pallid elf and got same issue with passive insight. Was there a fix yet?
