Hello, I have a problem. I created a homebrew race (with all the necessary fields done), and it just does not appears in character builder, and I don't know, why. I am from Russia, so I made it in Russian language, and it has an inscription saying that I cannot share this race with the community, as it contains a text in a foreign language. but I'm not trying to share this race with the community, I'm just trying to create a character for our home campaign, so as not to mess with paper sheets. Help pleeeeeease.
Is the homebrew toggle enabled for that character? (in the home screen of the character builder)
If the homebrew toggle is enabled and you still can't add it, can you post a link to the homebrew race (it doesn't have to be published, the mods can see it)
yes, very thank you! though it had two subraces, but when I removed it, main race just appeared, so I can deal with that!
When it still had subraces, did the subraces appear under their names? If you homebrew a race and give it subraces, the parent race is not listed in the character builder, only the subraces. This Is different than how official races and homebrew subraces on official races appear in the builder.
Hello ATeaWithFreak! Just so that you know, if your homebrew race has subraces, the base race will not appear in the character builder. Instead, the subraces will appear separately. As an example, let's say you had a "Tea" race with subraces called "Chai" and "Peppermint". If you were in the character builder you wouldn't be able to search for "Tea" and pull up the selection, but could search "Chai" and find the Chai selection, or "Pepperment" to find the Peppermint subrace.
yup I know! but builder had no race neither subraces, so it was just nothing. then I deleted subraces and main race started to show up in builder, so, cuz as I said I have no intentions to share it, I can deal with the only subrace that I need for my character :)
Interesting, thank you! If you face this problem in the future, please definitely report again and include a link to the homebrew. Myself or another forum moderator can then take a look and hopefully find a solution!
When you built the race, did you check the “has subraces” box? If you did, it will only show you the subraces, not the main race. If you never attached any subraces, then that’s why you cannot find anything when you look.
Did you accidentally check the “Will Have Subraces” box? If so, the base race will not be visible, only the subraces will. Also, if you set it as part of the “Human Race Group,” then it will be nested under Human.

Make sure the race doesn't have "has subraces" selected without assigning subraces.

no, subraces didn't appear. I guess I could made a mistake when I created subraces, though I still can't figure out what this mistake was.

It’s in creations and yes sublclass is not selected
It must be in your “collection” or it will not populate the character builder.

When creating a character at the beginning slide there are options the should be a switch for using homebrew.
