Not sure if its a bug, but after I commissioned a nice 1000x1000 piece like in the recommendation, I added the art and now only I can see it, whereas anyone who didn't make the page cant seem to see it. links included are to the details page, and screenshots of my view versus another's view.
Mairondil is a bit confused, and their workaround isn't going to work for your issue.
Images for homebrew are not allowed for published creations. Images cannot be automatically moderated like the rest of the content can be, so the decision was made to disable images. You, as the creator, can still see them. So can anyone in the same campaign as you (your homebrew is automatically shared to players in the same campaign as you).

I read through this fast this morning and I got my wires crossed where I had it backwards where his friend could see the image but OP could not. First it would not be published which I just totally overlooked.
BUT if it was not published, and someone else could see the image fine but OP could not, it would be related to the site cookie problem with image loading because I run into that problem all the time.
oh, would it be possible to post a link to the artist I commissioned's post if they posted it on their twitter or Instagram account? or would that go against moderation rules

It doesn’t matter if a homebrew is published or private, only the creator and people in campaign la with that person can see any images attached to that homebrew.
One cannot publish any homebrews with either links or images embedded within them.

I don't believe published homebrew allows links.
