I have TCOE in my library. Recently leveled a monk to 3 and want to take the "Way of Mercy" subclass, but it's not an option. I have ALL options enabled in the character builder. Another TCOE subclass "Way of the Astral Self" IS available.
Ok. That probably is the issue. I've been holding out hoping they might come out with a great core rules bundle price. I don't think the char. system will let me remove a class, but I can create a duplicate character.

ModeratorYou've probably selected
Monk (the 2024 class). For that one, you'd need the 2024 PHB and its updated Warrior of Mercy subclass.
To use TCOE's Way of Mercy, you'd need to remove your class and select
Monk instead, under "2014 Core Rules".

ModeratorYou can indeed remove a class from a character. Go to the Class tab and look for a red X to the right of the class name.
