So I was going through some stuff for a druid I'm playing and looking at various spells and Feign death appears to be missing from the site. I first noticed it when the 3rd level druid spells jumped from Dispel Magic to Meld into Stone. I did a search for the spell and couldn't find it at all.

During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
I am not seeing the spell when I try to create a Homebrew magic item which grants the spell. Nor is it in the template list to choose from if you were to create a homebrew spell based on an existing spell. I also tried to add it to a high level wizard character but I don't see it in the list. I do see lots of spells from the PHB, Elemental Evil, etc. but for some reason not that particular spell.

Did you read the thread? You most likely don’t have it available because you haven’t purchased it. All of the spells in the Basic Rules and the SRD are also in the PHB but not all PHB spells are in the Basic Rules or SRD. Similarly, the EEPC was a free pdf and options for it are available for free here. (And many of the EE{CX s[e;;s show up i Xanathar’s, but there may be spells in Xanathar’s that aren’t in EEPC)
I did read it, but I think the problem is I don't have it purchased directly. I have access to all of it via my campaign (our DM is awesome and bought all the books) but I guess if I try to do a homebrew item it only considers what I myself have. The character I tested on was also not linked to the campaign. Oops. :)

By purchasing the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond, you unlock this spell and many more.
Please can you let us know where you are expecting to see the Feign Death spell, but not doing so?
