There are a few places in the text where I noticed a straight apostrophe ' is used instead of a curved apostrophe ’ (right single quote). Here is a list of the places I found it:
In "Dreadnaught" from chapter 1 "Dreadnaught's" in the second and third paragraphs.
In "20. Prior’s Quarters" from chapter 7 "quaal's feather token (anchor)" in the "Treasure" entry.
I'm reporting issues with the monster listings for monsters from Saltmarsh, not issues with the compendium. Hope this is the right place to do so.
1) when filtering by sources and listing only Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Lizardfolk Shaman shows up; it should not, as it is from the Monster Manual and is not reprintedi n Saltmarsh.
The Lizardfolk Shaman is "dual sourced" to Ghosts of Saltmarsh, because as you mentioned, it's from the Monster Manual - we make sure that anyone purchasing the adventure is fully able to run that adventure.
With regards to tags, they are something that needs to be reviewed and we're aware - they were something that was put in place early on, before we had subtype and other fields.
Unfortunately this does mean there's some inconsistency with their use at the moment. I'll discuss with the content entry team.

Thanks for the explanation; I’d forgotten about that change, but it makes sense.
That's a really subtle difference. Good catch! The layouts of the ships are identical but the numbering for the locations are different. I think the version in the book, "Sailing Ship and Warship", is incorrect since it lists area 5. Supplies on the top deck at the front of the ship. The version in sailing ship stat block image (as well as that of the warship stat block) lists the same location as area 6. Forcastle which includes the ships figurehead.
In the mobile app, all the embedded display maps in Underwater Locations of Appendix A (A.5 - Cove Reef, A.6 - Wreck of the Marshall, A.7 - Warthalkeel Ruins) are the player versions, and the link for 'View Player Version' just shows the exact same version in the Image Viewer. There are no coded or referenced versions.
iOS: 12.3.1 App: V.1.1.11.1 GoS: v.1
Also just found that the links to each of those locations from the Contents page go to the main Appendix A: Of Ships and the Sea page, not their specific pages. All the other Appendix A links in the Contents pages are good though, it’s just those three having the issue.
The player version of the skull dunes map still shows the pirates path when it probably shouldn't.
Came to report this. This is a hex crawl, and the players version of the map literally shows them where to go to avoid encounters. No way this was intended.
In "7. Kitchen", in the last sentence of the third paragraph "area 9" should probably link to "9. Barracks".
In the "Development" entry in "38. Minister’s Quarters", in the last sentence of the third paragraph "area 40" should probably link to "40. Drill Hall".
In "49. Guards' Pool", there are a number of areas that should probably be linked.
In "52. Merfolk Pool", in the first sentence "areas 49, 50" should probably link to respective areas. Also in the "Development" entry "area 50" should probably link to "50. Koalinth Pool".
Laying this out clearly as it's layered under several headings:
In Appendix A: Of Ships and the Sea, under Underwater Locations, under Wreck of the Marshal, under Wreck Adventures, under the Golem Diver adventure, Captain Xendros is repeatedly referenced using 'he' pronouns. I don't have a book on me to see if this matches up with the hardcover or not, but I believe it is definitely an error.
D&D Beyond accurately mirrors the content published by Wizards of the Coast. If Wizards of the Coast should publish any errata documentation for this content, we will update D&D Beyond with those changes.
I don't have the physical book in front of me currently, but in chapter 7, travelling to firewatch island section, it mentions ...which Underhill tows to the island when he transports his passengers... but the NPC's last name is Raserhill. Just pointing this out in case the book has it correct.
Super minor point. On the main website if you go to Sources, and look at Adventures and look at the Ghosts of Saltmarsh Icon, the image says "Coming Soon" on it.

2) Several named NPCs do not have the NPC tag: Oceanus, Kysh, Sanbalet, Othokent, Yalaga Maladwyn, Mr. Dory
3) Several NPC "classes" do not have the NPC tag: Pirate bosun , Merfolk Salvager*, Pirate Deck Wizard, Pirate First Mate, Pirate Captain, Rip Tide Priest.
* I realize that Merfolk might not be considered NPCs, but Merfolk Scout is tagged as an NPC.

The sailing ship seems to have 2 different maps.
If you look at https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/gos/of-ships-and-the-sea#ShipStatBlocks you will see one version, and if you look at https://www.dndbeyond.com/vehicles/sailing-ship you get a different version.
This is an odd one.

It looks like some nasty seafaring gremlins had gotten into the maps and mislabelled some of the decks.
I've gone through with an extra-large can of anti-gremlin spray and both maps are now correct and match each other.
Thanks for letting us know about this!

Reading through chapters 2 and 3 I spotter a few places where area references could potentially include links to their respective areas.
Chapter 2: The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh
In "Smugglers on Alert", in the third sentence of the last paragraph "area 30" should probably link to "30. Sea Cave".
In "4. Living Area", in the second sentence "area 1" should probably link to "1. Entrance Hall".
In "Upper Floor", in the second sentence of the first paragraph "area 1" should probably link to "1. Entrance Hall".
Chapter 3: Danger at Dunwater
In the Initial Attitude table, in row 5 column 1 "area 49" should probably link to "49. Guards' Pool".
In "General Features", there are numerous area references without links to their corresponding areas.
In "Communication and Disposition", in the first sentence of the third paragraph "area 38" should probably link to "38. Minister’s Quarters".
In "Patrols in the Lair", in the last sentence "area 41" should probably link to "41. Thick Gate".
In "5. Officer’s Quarters", in the "Development" entry "areas 2 and 3" should probably link to "2. Guard Room" and "3. Barracks" respectively.
In "7. Kitchen", in the last sentence of the third paragraph "area 9" should probably link to "9. Barracks".
In the "Development" entry in "38. Minister’s Quarters", in the last sentence of the third paragraph "area 40" should probably link to "40. Drill Hall".
In "43a. Sahuagin Water Cell", in the first sentence of the fourth paragraph "area 49" should probably link to "49. Guards’ Pool".
In "49. Guards' Pool", there are a number of areas that should probably be linked.
In "52. Merfolk Pool", in the first sentence "areas 49, 50" should probably link to respective areas. Also in the "Development" entry "area 50" should probably link to "50. Koalinth Pool".
In "Formalizing the Alliance", in the last sentence "chapter 6, The Final Enemy" should link to "Chapter 6. The Final Enemy".
Appendix C: Monsters and NPCs
Amphisbaena links to a Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan resource, so in my case it is locked. I own Saltmarsh, but not TftYP.
In the actual Chapter (Danger at Dunwater, Chapter 3), the link is okay, directing to ../monsters/amphisbaena-monstrosity
In appendix C the link is to ../monsters/amphisbaena
Thanks both, I will sort those out tomorrow. :)
Update - mostly done, will finish later.

I'm afraid that nobody knows, but in chapter 6, in the Lizardfolk paragraph of 'Council of War', there is a reference: (see “A Great Gift”).
However, this reference links to nothing?
I tried asking @Wizards_DnD on twitter, but so far I got no response.
I puzzled over that one when we were adding the links in - the words A Great Gift aren't mentioned anywhere else in the entire book.

Hey there, that's a good spot and does indeed look like an unintentional mistake!
Captain Xendros is a female Tiefling Priest:

Hello,
Chapter 6: The Final enemy. Room 23 lists two Sahuagin champions and links to two different stat blocks (sahuagin and a sahuagin champion).
Similarly room 24 does the same thing.
Thanks Tigerhawk247 - that's all sorted out now! :)
