The sailing ship is listed as 100 by 20, the same as the warship. The map shows it to be 80 by 20
There does seem to be a discrepancy there. Question is, is it DDB's or WotC's mistake? If it was WotC's mistake, DDB has to leave it in until an errata.
I am getting the message "There was an error retrieving the image." where the map of Saltmarsh (Map 1.2) should be.
It weirdly seems to be formatted like part of the section. Like it was copied along with the rest of the text from another location where the image had failed to load, then pasted and formatted along with the rest of the text.
And the map is not there even by scrolling through images.
The Pressure Capsule does not seem to have a duration listed for its effect. Given that it is a common and consumable magic item I imagine that it does not permanently alter creatures.
Some additional info on the missing maps. I have the same reported issue of the missing map of Saltmarsh in the Locations portion of Chapter 1 “There was an error retrieving the image.”
This is only occurring in the web version. The map appears in the Application on my iPad

D&D Beyond accurately mirrors the content published by Wizards of the Coast. If Wizards of the Coast should publish any errata documentation for this content, we will update D&D Beyond with those changes.

You're absolutely correct that this magic item doesn't specify a duration. Unless there is an errata, it appears to be permanent, but any DM is free to rule a duration on them for their own campaign.
Welcome to Ghosts of Saltmarsh. This book collects seven D&D adventures...
Fixed!
Also, please note that any issues with maps should be 100% fixed now too - if you do have any issues with them, please try clearing your browser cache.

I am aware of that. But even if this is the way it is in the HC, I do hope that bugs like this are compiled and sent to WotC for review.
Stormknight, I do want to thank you and the rest of the mods on here for all the hard work you all do. I also understand that there are questions and statements that have been made over and over again that leads to using boilerplate responses. However, the "D&D Beyond accurately mirrors the content published by Wizards of the Coast" seems, well, a bit heavy handed maybe? I do not own the hardback yet, so its not something I can cross check. I had no idea that is how it is in the book. The response, although it may not have meant to, feels like I am being sidestepped (not really sure that is the best word to describe it.) A simple "That does seem odd, but that is how we got it from WotC." No hard feelings are taken from it, as I know that was not the intent. Truth be told, I had forgotten until typing this up that a new app was being used to parse the data from WotC.
With all that said, I do have a question. Errors like this, does DDB compile them and send them up to WotC?

Heya, glad you weren't offended - that is never the intent!
As for a standard reply, you're correct that is the case, however it is appropriate to the situation and is accurate.
I don't have visibility of the business relationship between D&D Beyond and Wizards of the Coast D&D team, so I am pretty limited in my ability to comment on such.
The two are business partners who communicate and cooperate well with each other, so I guess make assumptions on that basis. :)

Not every ship is a perfect display of a master shipwrights abilities. If you experience bugs in Ghosts of Saltmarsh, please post them in this thread.
But worry not, we've got some of the best shipwrights in Faerun.

Yup, no maps in the Saltmarsh section. I just got to that point and was confused for a few seconds!
There are no maps in my entire adventure. There are mention of maps 5.1, 6.2 etc. But they aren't hot links and there are no map images anywhere.
Edit: I see maps in adventure 7 and 8 now but no others.

I'm also not seeing any maps? Is this just a thing where they still have to load it or something?
#OPENDND
I saw maps in the styies, but can't see any others from where I checked.
Unless this one different from the other books, I only have access to the new backdrops and new themes, but not the new frames.
In the Android App I DO get the map in 'Saltmarsh Region', but not in the Web version.
But also in the Android App, a lot of the maps (ex. map 4.1 ) are missing :(

In the introduction there's a missing space:

All of the pre-order bonuses are now up and working, so you should see them all now.

Feature from each of the four new backgrounds are not showing up in the app. They do show up on the site though.
Thanks - this is a known issue for the app, that the app team are aware of. I expect they'll be able to resolve it fairly soon!

The Salvage Operation map is missing in the app but appears on the site.
