For me, at least, the Alchemy Jug is missing from the 'add items' list. Any idea why? I have access to every other magic item from the DMG that I have looked up, including the similar Decanter of Endless Water.
The only thread I could find was a 2017 thread (resolved) that said it wasn't available in the beta. Well... the beta is over, no?
There are a few magic items that exist in the Dungeon Master's Guide (requires purchase) that do not exist in the Basic Rules (free). Have you purchased the Dungeon Master's Guide from the marketplace here on D&D Beyond? If so, you should be able to see items such as Alchemy Jug and Cloak of Invisibility.

I've had a look at the character sheet and can see that the character doesn't have access to content from the Dungeon Master's Guide, Player's Handbook, or Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is odd as the character is a Forge Domain cleric (from Xanathar's).
Please check with your DM that the subscription is still valid and ask them to disable and then re-enable content sharing for the campaign.
Hi. *facepalm* My DM had let his subscription lapse. After renewing his Master Tier subscription and turning sharing off and back on, everything is working as normal.
I'm really sorry for wasting your time. It never occurred to me that he wasn't paid up.
I am a DM with the DMG purchased and I have a master tier subscription. Alchemy Jug is not available to me

A year later, and I'm noticing the same thing. I have the DM guide and I cant add it to my character sheet. It just doesn't show up there. It shows up in the compendium just fine. Should I also submit a ticket?

Make sure you have purchased the DMG as a whole, and not just the compendium. If you only purchased the DMG as a compendium, you will not get access to the information within the character builder, database, and other digital tools.
DM here. Own all core books for 2014 and 2024, as well as many adventures and other sourcebooks. It seems the issue falls somewhere between the character builder when joined to a campaign and when not joined. I can create characters in my profile while outside a campaign and I do not have access to things like Alchemy Jug or Sending Stones. Once I join a campaign (for this practice, one of my own making) with the same character, I have access to those items. This shouldn't be the case--I own the right sources for these to appear for any of my created characters, whether or not they are in a campaign. And I can already hear the argument: "But if you join a game hosted by a DM who doesn't have the right source, you shouldn't get access." No. I paid for access. These are my characters. If I want to build 10,000 characters that never see gameplay I should still be able to build them how I want and how I've paid to be able. I'd love to hear from WotC about this.

If these items are only visible when you're building a character in a campaign, it's because you only have access to that content through content sharing from someone else in that campaign. The character builder doesn't think that you own that content.
Just to confirm: you actually own the digital versions of the books you're talking about? You purchased them on D&D Beyond? Do they show up in your list of licenses here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/licenses

ModeratorAnd they have a master tier subscription and have toggled campaign content sharing on?
Also, would you mind posting the full link to your character (not the share link)?

Yes, Campaign Content Sharing is definitely toggled On.
I assume this is the full link, not the share link.

I made a homebrew 'Urn of Many Liquids' and customized the name to say 'Alchemy Jug'. Just so there's no confusion
