One of my characters knows a couple of other languages including Thieves Cant. How can I add additional languages and why isn't thieves cant listed as one?
spent half an hour searching for the place where I can add languages as well. Did you find anything? They're listed under "Description" -> "Character Details", but I can't find a way to add any language to them? 🤔
Currently there is no way to add custom languages. The best place for those would most likely be in the notes until more sheet customization options are available.
Using: Option: Human Languages (SCAG) for Adventurers League and I can't enter it.
As a work around for now it is possible to create a homebrew magic item (I tested creating a wondrous item that do not require attunement) and add a modifier to it, with modifier type "language" and modifier subtype the language you want to add. Then add the item to the character and mark it as "in use" on equipment section.
I agree, but also a way to not know a language from your race if possible. I’m currently playing a tiefling who was raised in a monastery from birth almost and never learned infernal.
Really languages, proficiencies, skills etc. should be more easily added/removed based off how a character’s down time is used.
Also missing are monstrous languages like Goblin (which rangers can pick up through favored enemy), and options for various regional "human" languages. Some of those should just be added to the database (like the monstrous languages mentioned in the Monster Manual, Volos, etc.), and there should be an easy way to add custom languages, too.
Are they included when the Players Handbook is purchased? I know somethings are missing due to them having to be purchased which is irritating since I have purchased the physical books. What can you do though.

So I (re)discovered today that some aspects of DDB can access monstrous languages--they show up in the Homebrew race builder when adding languages. Having found them, I remember that those languages used to be available in the character builder, and some folks objected (under ordinary circumstances, adventurers shouldn't know blink dog, for example). But clearly for things like favored enemy, the longer list needs to be "unlocked"

+1 for adding languages.

And I cast Heroism on the community.
Also want the ability to add languages. My character took a lot of time to study and can't add it anywhere :')
I imagine this is already on the to-do list, but I'll add my coin to the pile. Training for languages, and tool proficiencies too!
Do Not Meddle in the Affairs of Dragons, for You are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup,
There should probably be a whole extra page of the character builder for extra abilities and proficiencies learned through downtime activities.

Seems like a pretty basic thing to have.. wonder why it's not in there
4 Months later, trying to Bump this up to do the top.
Has anyone seen this added yet? If so, where?

Definitely another plus one for custom language option.
I've gone to all the lengths of homebrew races and now can't add their language!
As dropbear8mybaby mentions above, this will be fully available when the new character sheet is deployed (which should be some time this month).
