I want to be able to sort between demons and devils. Maybe we can use chaotic versus lawful in the environment or some other form entry field. or add a filter function on the tags column.
As part of the 'advanced filter' when searching for monsters, it would be useful to include an xp range.
In other words, you should be able to put in a parameter of say 8000 - 12000 xp, and it will filter all monsters in that xp range (in addition to any other filters of course).
It would likely have to be an alternative to using CP for those who don't use CP when creating encounters.

This is really a good idea for manual encounter planning. As is CR isn't a great indicator of power level in all scenarios. Sometimes a DM has to plan encounters around XP for budgeting purposes or when tweaking an encounter when an extra player shows or someone is missing. I have a gaming group of 7 irregular players, when they all show CR is so broken its laughable.
I have seen a couple of threads wishing for clickable spells in the monster descriptions. Or pop up boxes with the spell info. The same for other relevant information that is needed to run the monster without searching in multiple places. Special abilities, magic items. This would be great, and it seems this mega-thread is the right place to ask for it.
or as a mouseover hover, would be really cool. That same code could be re-used all over the site, including on the forums.
I'm thinking like the way sites like wowhead work, where you can put the name of the spell inside square brackets and it becomes a mouseover link.
This! A mouseover hover summarizing the spell would be extremely helpful. That way if I, say, am looking at the flameskull I don't have to switch to Spells to look up fireball, etc.
Biggest one for me would be hyperlinked spells or conditions. I'm looking at the Gelanatinoius Cube which has a bunch of condition immunities. Linking those to rules for immunities would be so helpful. Same deal for spells and other parts of monsters that rely on other rules not included directly in the stat block.
I've been told... by a secret staff member who shall not be named... that tooltips will probably go live next week. And, you'll be able to use them in the forums as well. ;)

No slaadi listed. Also, why always investigation check fails? Maybe Arcana or Nature or even Religion sometimes may be better - for beasts or aberrations? :D
I would like to see the background/description text for the monsters added as an expandable link from the Monster stat block window. That way it's not always showing but if I want to do a quick review of the monster I have it available. Pictures do a lot but descriptions give info that allows you to highlight things. Like the terrible burning white light in the eyes of a wight.
In phase 3, as others have mentioned, I would like to see a monster's spells and special abilities linked to the appropriate spell card.
Additionally, if there is an encounter manager/initiative tracker it would be great to integrate a way to track spell slot usage for monsters/NPC's. Similar to how https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spellsdd5 works. I enter all of the spell casting monsters and NPC's that the players are expected to encounter in my campaign as spell books in this app and use it to track spell slot usage as well as reference spell cards.
Also I'm curious if NPC's will be just homebrewed monsters or have their own searchable listing?
Running the Starter Set and wanted to get a description of twig blights. Not here? Also, even though pictures are provided, it would be nice to have a written description of monsters (to help DMs describe creatures to their players) Then, just for fun, I thought I'd search for a Beholder - nothing - what happened to them? It seems an image of one is used as the icon for Aberrations but they are not listed there.
First, this site is absolutely amazing already and I can't wait to see where it ends up going! Now for some feedback: I didn't find any dinosaurs in the monster tab, but they are in the monster manual.
Secondly, I was wondering if it is possible (or will be possible) to create personal, customized monster lists. I am running a campaign that has orcs, hobgoblins, and fiends working together. For my upcoming session, I have Orcs, Hobgoblins, Hobgoblin War Chiefs, Dire Wolves, Imps, and Spined Devils in one battle. Is there some way I can select specific monsters and have only those monsters on a personal list? I think it would be incredibly helpful to have some sort of function to that effect.
Agreeing with Kreigmstr that monster descriptions would be great. With how much the MM and VGM give in description, monsters are able to be more than experience vending machines. I enjoy having monsters feel more like monsters than obstacles, and the detailed descriptions are how I am able to do that to a certain extent.
Will there be information from MM and VGM added to the monster pages in addition to stay blocks? That'd be awesome.

.
Deva is listed as Legendary when it doesn't have any legendary actions.
Looking at the monster stat block, I was wondering why the stats were displayed in 3 colours until my wife pointed out it's actually 6 colours.
From a UI point of view, please take colour blindness into account. In this case it doesn't detract from anything, but it does cause some confusion.
I would love to see more filters for monsters so you could look for things like movement: flying. We need more monster tags, too, like Undead.
On my first search I couldn't find Beholders. 1 missing monster ha ha ha. now to count them all hehe.
I was also told I failed investigation check as there are no beholders. it was too funny but I know they exist evan if the library says they don't.

Can we get a general description of each beast looks lair look and feel general descriptive information to create the atmosphere for my players?
