Seriously, why make this thread?

Maybe because the poster doesn’t want to have any surprise charges for crap they didn’t want to purchase, then try and contact a representative that will actually help in the matter only to be put through a hassle when clearly the site can put a purchase button instead of a claim button?
I personally don’t care for the minor free crap like dice, or picture frames, I’d rather free maps that can be downloaded and used as I wish.

Surprise charges? There is literally a payment screen where you have to enter your payment details to proceed. I am unaware of anyone being surprised by being charged something after the fact.

It happens, slow page loading, poor connectivity, impatience, misunderstanding of claim eligibility, etc.
Some sites save payment details for quick checkout and payment, on here I use prepaid payment methods and never have to worry about unwanted charges, or personal data being potentially stolen and/or compromised.
better to be careful and question potential future issues, then FAFO.
If the claim page just immediately charged you without mentioning payment it would be breaking the law. There is no risk to clicking claim. If it asks for payment and you don't want to pay, then don't and navigate elsewhere. If it doesn't ask for payment and says you now have them - then it was free.
If the site took your money without a payment page or notification then it broke the law so not only can you get the money back through your card/bank but you can sue them and get even more. Win/Win. The odds of this happening to a globally popular site with millions of users a day is very slim.

So, there's no actual negative to just taking the 2 seconds to get the answer instead of making a thread and waiting xyz long to get an answer.

I was just wondering the title question.
You mean the dice and portrait frames and stuff? You have to have a subscription.

The stuff you actually have to claim, like the Lego dice they just did, is usually (maybe always) free and doesn't require a subscription.
The initial question is not clear.
The dice are what I mean, but the ones that say claim now. See some say claim for free and some say just claim.
Could you please provide links to examples of what you mean?
