For the love of god, just put the value of any item in the freakin description.
Why should it be so hard to discover that the value of a healing potion is 50gp?
I gave a bad example. Potion of healing shows the cost, Potion of greater healing doesn't show the cost. Why not show the cost/value of a magic item?
Because in general, there are no official fixed/set prices for magic items. Xanathar's only gives wide ranges of prices based on rarity (and a dice roll) under the optional downtime activity rules for "buying a magic item".
The bow is owned by a half-orc paladin, it uses Dexterity to hit, but Strength for damage.
To be clear, the phrasing of the "Treasure" section about the weapon only says:
This unique weapon can be used only by a Medium or larger creature that has a Strength of 18 or higher. The bow shoots oversized arrows that deal piercing damage equal to 2d6 + the wielder’s Strength modifier.
This tells us that the damage roll uses Str, but not whether the attack roll uses Str or Dex. The NPC's statblock itself is of no help because his Str mod and Dex mod are the same.

I suppose that answers my question about how DDB has it implemented: it doesn't. It only appears within the statblock, and in the compendium text.
If it did appear as a magic item, you could buy just the individual item from the Marketplace page for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. If it appeared as a mundane item... Well, it looks like D&D Beyond simply allows any mundane items from adventures to be openly accessible without purchase, such as the yklwa, insect repellent-salve, and insect repellent-incense from Tomb of Annihilation. So that'd probably be the case for the oversized longbow too, if DDB did add it as its own item, since nothing in the text notes it's a magic item.
Anyway, I've just suggested in the DDB Discord that they add the item to DDB's system, though I suggested they check with WotC about the intent (Str mod vs. Dex mod) for the attack roll first.
Those more powerful potions are less frequently purchased and more often earned through RP. DM’s are encouraged to use the book prices for the basics, but then set their own prices for higher level stuff to suit their own campaigns. The cost for a Greater Healing Potion could be anywhere from 50gp-100gp depending on the DM, the world, the vendor, the season, regional accessibility, etc. Superior Healing Potions could sell for anywhere from 101gp-500gp (all of these price ranges are on page 135 of the DMG. You can find more information on pages 126 and 130 of Xanathar’s.)
This isn’t a video game where prices are fixed. In my area I can go to 3 different supermarkets and pay three different prices for identical jars of peanut butter. If I take a 30 minute drive across state lines I can buy a bottle of wine for half the cost I would pay in my home town. Why should Healing Potions be any different?!?
Thank you for the somewhat condescending insight that this is not a video game. In every edition of D&D before 5E and the multitude of RPG's that that I have played since 1981, the source material has given what you might consider to be the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of magic items and equipment. My fellow players and myself have used this 'MSRP' to judge the specific price(or the value of the item) that is appropriate for the our setting and the circumstance. My suggestion is that this 'MRSP' is a useful tool for GM's and players as well as those selling peanut butter in your local super market, and perhaps it is worthy of inclusion 5E source books and the amazing D&D Beyond Tool.

Note that Wizards of the Coast makes the D&D 5e books; D&D Beyond simply has a license to distribute WotC's D&D 5e content. They're two separate companies (owned by two separate parent companies). As such, D&D Beyond can't add in-game prices for magic items unless WotC does.
(And as I mentioned in a previous comment, WotC has chosen to only give general price ranges for magic items in Xanathar's, so I doubt they'd go beyond that to add specific prices to every magic item...)
I’m sorry you felt condescended to. They (the publishers WotC) stopped doing that probably because too many people looked at it as written law. You wanna know the “MSRP” for magic items? Here they are straight outta the DMG:
Let me start with the things that D&D Beyond actually NEEDS.
1. The inventory for characters needs to be fixed a bit to compensate for any containers the character may have. Right now, one of my characters has a bag of holding to be able to carry all of his stuff. In an ideal world, I would be able to open the "inventory" of my bag and be able to put things in it. Right now, I just add things to my inventory and have to manually set the weight to 0. This would be cool for just regular bags, too, not just Bags of holding. To be able to see what exactly is in my bag and not just on my character would help TREMENDOUSLY with inventory organization. Also, big one here, for those characters who may have mounts or even a vehicle or cart or something, those need to have inventories, too. My earlier mentioned character has a Warhorse named Tug. Tug obviously carries some of my stuff that my character himself doesn't have on him, like generic luggage, my cooking supplies and tools, most of my food, camping utensils, an extra longbow, etc. Right now, my solution is creating ANOTHER character sheet for Tug, match his stats to that of a Warhorse, and manage 2 INVENTORIES belonging to 2 DIFFERENT character sheets. And using my method of just creating another character sheet for mounts is a really poor solution for the folks with free subscriptions who have a max of 6 characters, and having to use one of those limited slots on a dumb mount would be extremely frustrating.
2. In the character builder, there is an option to Filter Race Source(s) while choosing what race your character should be. Right now, you can either pick just one source at a time, or have all of them. What if I only wanted to select 3 specific sources like Basic rules, Guide to Eberron, and Volo's guide to monsters? I know that when looking at monsters or magic items, I can select to look specifically at Fiends, undead, and humanoids, or both Wands and Staffs. Need something similar for races with the different Sources.
3. Adding folders for characters or items for separate campaigns or just for those mad lads out there like me that create 100 different characters with unique backstories that we all know we are never going to play. Everyone has characters like this, you know who you are.
4. Some useful DM notes for specific characters or NPCs would be wonderful. There are general campaign notes and stuff like that but being able to assign notes to specific character sheets, NPCs, or monster stat blocks would be awesome.
5. Add some more features for Online campaigns like instant messaging and an online tabletop map like Roll20. A grid map with tokens and such would be great or even just a shareable whiteboard of sorts. I currently use Roll 20 for this. Also, some sort of Online Campaign Content sharing for simple documents or maps. You could even incorporate Discord into D&D Beyond and do it that way.
6. Now this last one isn't really necessary but would be super cool to have. When creating a character, you can select a portrait to represent your character. What if, now hear me out, what if you could design your own portrait or physical features of your character to see what they would look like? I know it sounds absolutely insane, but an RPG game like Skyrim or Fallout where you can design your character's features would be an absolutely INSANE feature to have that I would absolutely love. I know there are websites out there like https://www.heroforge.com where you can design custom miniatures. You can design your face, body structure, race, choose any clothing or gear you might have, possible mounts, and you can give your character a cool pose. Why can't we do something similar?
I have a simple (I think) request. Can we add links to the example monster in the Monster Feature table? This isn't necessarily a need but it would make it much easier to create home brewed monsters, especially since the table does not list what the actual effects are for many of the features.
Could we get the ability to rename skills and/or abilities?
I'd love this, the Ranger in the Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign I'm DMing is playing really hard into the catgirl archetype (all the other players and myself are cool with this, we think its funny and the Player doesn't do anything over the top of what we set boundaries for in session 0) and I'd love to be able to change the name of their "Perception" skill to "Puuurrrrrception".

you can also just download a free pdf editor and edit the pdf before you print it...there's also free online pdf editor options
None of my groups use printed sheets, that's the big benefit for me over a hand written sheet. I don't have to carry anything and people can't lose stuff. Good idea though if I ever had to run stuff off paper sheets in the future.
Something I'd like to bring up as a thought to light. On each campaign tap we have a section dedicated to description, DM notes private and DM notes public. I believe it would be a nice added field to let the players also have a window for messages. Perhaps, like a chat log or a location for them to leave questions or suggestions to the DM or to leave their own thoughts about things that have happened in the campaign so far.
I believe this would bring more flavour to the campaign menu which overall is under-utilised and will do so in a communal nature that interacts with those involved in it. Especially when the players may not be able to communicate something through other media or in person.
I would love for there to be an option to put the character image chosen for a character portrait into the character appearance block when I print out my character sheet. Right now I have to manually load my character sheet into a pdf editing program and insert the image to do this. If the portrait thumbnail automatically showed up in that box or there were any other option to add an image into it that would be great.

(I'm not sure how DDB has it implemented, and I haven't seen any designer statements about it.)
Thanks. That still doesn’t help me since I don’t have that mod and am not buying it for 1 longbow.

Based on a little research, it seems D&D Beyond doesn't even have the oversized longbow from that module listed as its own item (mundane or otherwise) that you'd then be able to add to a character: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/24112-oversized-longbow
