Thought I'd share a more specific example of an issue with the global search.
One of the players in my campaign is trying to become a Lich, so I thought I'd check out if the MM has any rules on how to become one. Using global search does not return the entry in the MM compendium entry for Lich.
I had to go into Compendium -> Rules -> Monster Manual to get to the entry that I wanted.
And further proof of my issue with global search-- it gives spoilers with those blurbs!!!!! Force the blurbs to at least be in a minimized by default collapsible section. I now know if I encounter Exethanter in CoS he will have less HP than a normal lich, and i gain that info without having that source but just trying to find info on becoming a lich
I'd like to see phrase searching implemented. Today I was trying to track down the "Treasure Drops" table referred to in TOA and tried the Global search. There was no way (that I could find) to search for the phrase. Also, oddly, none of the "Treasure Drops" references in TOA showed up in the hits list. Even prioritizing complete phrase hits would help.
Was doing a bit of device testing using the website when I found a small bug. When viewing the website using an iPad Air in landscape mode the search field disappears, all the button links (Builder, MyContent, Character, Compendium, Spells, Items, Monsters & Forums) also disappear. In portrait mode the search field is in the top right and all the buttons are back in place. We went ahead and tested the iPhone 6+ and iPad Pro 12" and they all work just fine - no issues.

As a relatively happy customer I would like to bump up the priority of the missing-search-bug.
The global search is amazing and missing it in landscape tablet mode is painful (as most keyboard docks require landscape mode). If only we had a stack overflow or github bug priority vote system. ;)

Did you find the place that is meant by it? Because I'm preparing to run ToA and I haven't found the Treasure Drops table anywhere...
I would love to be able to directly navigate to a page from the type-ahead suggestions. If I start typing in "Adult Blue D" it's intelligent enough to autocomplete to "Adult Blue Dragon", but I'd love if clicking the Adult Blue Dragon entry in the suggestions would navigate me directly to the monster's page (or even directly to the search results), instead of requiring me to click the entry, click search, and then click the monster's link on search results page
I'd like a drop down when using global search to pick "Rules", "Character Options", "Adventures" etc... I hate searching a rule term like "Shove" and getting 10 other results before the standard rule. :(
I frequently play with 2 browser windows snapped side by side on my laptop screen. Spells and monster tabs on one side, campaign and player info on the other. This looks to swap the layout to the tablet styling for the site, which is great for readability. When in tablet mode, I need to click on the magnifying lens to open the search field, and then click again into the field to type my search criteria. While this is a minor usability complaint, i would LOVE if the search field that expands had focus already so i could go straight to typing.
As far as search results themselves go, I love the search suggestions to help guide me to the correct content despite spelling mistakes or specific word choices. Excellent work. please keep it up.
I was trying to find a definitive answer to a problem regarding search but couldn't find it. It is regarding Spoilers. It is very easy to stumble upon Adventure spoilers when searching for other things, like items. One example we had was a search for an item name, that revealed the item's location in the dungeon and which NPC had it, on the second search result. This seems like a massive issue. I'm sure this will be sorted out eventually with better control options over content sharing, but perhaps some new settings for Searching could go a long way into helping this already. Either an option to hide adventure books from the search results, or a setting to define your default searching scope (like Character, Spells and Items, but not Compendium and Monsters), or Player content only versus DM content. Any of these would be good, just as an option for the Players that want to avoid spoilers.
I tried to see which adventures have Milestone as an option. Using the universal search, two or three adventures came up as some that mention the word 'milestone' or 'milestones.' But someone else later pointed out that adventures like Waterdeep: Dragon Heist uses that word as well at the end of each chapter. I'm not sure if there are other adventures with the word 'milestone' that universal search doesn't catch.
I agree that search is still not very useful. Being a new player, there are many basic things I would like to look up. As they are mentioned a lot, it is impossible to find what I'm looking for. Each core term should have a primary source entry that includes the basic definition and links to where it is defined. If you search for a core term, that should automatically be presented at the top, possibly as content above any remaining search results.
Good examples are Vulnerability and Resistance: What is the rule for applying damage? Providing every single monster entry isn't useful. Many of the non-monster entries didn't define the question.

How do you get a one-armed goblin out of a tree?

Please improve the search so that my purchased material appear at the top of my searches.
Having items, from a search, which I am not going to purchase and have been restricted showing, at the top of a search, seems cumbersome.
A pet peeve.
I am going to say if I use D&D Beyond for three years from now, I am still going to suggest this.
Thanks,

There are some issues with snippets (nobody has noticed yet?).
Look there: https://www.dndbeyond.com/search?q=otyugh
1. Why "otyugh" is repeated 3 times?
In original post everything is alright:
2. What happens with code for snippet? Why it is splitted so even braces are torn away?

I tried copying the Search page link for my players with the scope set (Character, Spells and Items, but not Compendium and Monsters: https://www.dndbeyond.com/search?q=&f=backgrounds,classes,feats,races,spells,equipment,magic-items&c=characters,spells,items), but when you open it and type something and search, the scope is ignored and it searches everything. Only if you manually click on the scope options each time do they work. This seems like a bug that should be fixed as well.
But regardless of that, a more robust solution to spoilers on search is desperately needed. I'm wondering if there is already something in the works.
