UA has a written UA logo besides the options... homebrew is literally a small house logo besides the things... if you are asking which options is what.. then yes its already there and as been, since races have been added.
the only place its not cleraly written is... in the actual classes options. a place which i would love to see the same logos besides the options.
otherwise, in the race selection... a small house means homebrew, a small UA logo means its unearthed arcana. it is clearly well written.
No actually, it does not appear in most selection areas of the character builder/sheet. Spells, for example. Or magic items. Or subclasses. Or backgrounds. Or feats... In fact the only place that the house symbol appears is in race selection. Not everything is a race, friend. This is a problem.
They should come up with a little icon for each resource... kinds like (GASP) MTG with their icons for each set. This way no matter what rule/race/spell/item you pull up there will be a little icon telling you where it's being pulled from.

Especially when I try to build an AL character and I wonder if that spell comes from XGtE or SCAG.
Oh ya I was going to bring up AL, but WTOC seems determined to sink AL, so I can't imagine that Beyond is going to suddenly start supporting it.
They have already announced that they are working towards AL support, but it won't be in time for Season 8 because of their other foci. They will potentially aim for season 9, as it is seen as important to get DDB the ideal product to use with AL.

What i meant was that its already there.
The problem is in classes and the likes... They are textboxes. Those do not support logos. They are just text. Text that comes from the db. It would take custom textboxes or else.
Being a dev myself... I can tell you that what you ask is much harder then you think. It means they need to develop a custom box. And adding (book) at the end means two thing. The first... The textbox cannot be linked anymore unless you actually remove the added text. This is trivial to do. But does add a few lines to the codes. Lines that are basically unnecessary. The second thing is... Adding a custom textbox is more then a few lines. It is changing the whole way the thing works. It still would be better to just add text to the line... But adding text means the size of the thing might not work anymore.
Overall... It is much harder to do things on a website that has to be good on both mobile and desktop. So i understand the reasons why they didnt do it.

Hey folks, whats the latest? A more robust campaign management, a la the Obsidian Portal type sites, would go a long long way with this otherwise good tool. Thanks,
Something that I would love to see, though I understand it likely would take time to implement and be low on the priority list, is a "DM Dashboard" or whatever you want to call it. I imagine a page you could pull up while DMing that will have all the active characters in a campaign on one page with the pertinent information. Like a compact character "card." You could, of course, click on them to see the full character sheet, but it would have the pertinent stats like passive perception, AC, HP, etc. You could see real-time HP, maybe add/change/see conditions, and other useful things.
Edit: Adding another thing. The ability to add DM notes to items in your players' inventory or hide part of the text.
I absolutely love the platform but I'd like to suggest some things added to the campaign management system. First thing is a shared currency tab. This way the players don't need to keep up whit how much each have and how much the group has. The other thing is a shared inventory system. Like the things that rest on a carriage, ship, homebase, ...
You can at the moment use an empty character for this but that's kind of weird and then the players can't take out/add to its inventory or currency.
Having used the Campaign section for quite some time now both for prep and for running a game, here are improvements I'd like to see in the Notes feature. (My notes have gotten quite extensive, and what once worked fairly well has gotten a bit unweildy)
-Separate out the editing for the various aspects of the campaign page so that, for example, clicking on "Edit Notes" button closest to DM Private Notes only opens up that section for editing. Ideally this would open in a new window, or at least refresh the browser tab so that all that is seen is the edit interface. (i.e. this is also a request for a larger area in which to edit the text)
-Allow for in-Notes navigation; ideally I'd like to see a wiki-like Notes feature, with different "pages," with a TOC and a way to easily navigate between pages with links. (Another option, though not as nice, would be named spoiler blocks or some other collapsable system.)
-Integrate a feature akin to that in Beyond Help where it is easy to copy the url to a specific subsection of a compendium and format it (nicely) as a link.
Oh man, I need to read through this, but for now consider any duplication a seconding (or thirding)
1. An encounter builder, so there is 1 page with creature stats for everything in an encounter
1a. Hit point trackers for creatures (so a given creature stat block could have multiple HP trackers)
2. A Party Inventory
2a. The ability to add magic items (including homebrew) to said party inventory, and assign things to party members
3. The ability to add player handouts, so you can reveal them to the party
2b/3a. Being able to grab these from published adventures
I would love to see an Ad-Hoc style encounter builder. I would love to see a page, kind of like when you product compare on websites, where you have an 'add monster' box and you can type 'Hobgoblin' and it shows all the Hobgoblin monsters. Click a few times and all of a sudden you have the stat blocks showing up for the Hobgoblin Captain, Hobgoblin, and Bugbear, without the need of having to switch through multiple tabs. Lots of apps also allow you to track initiative, HP, etc. I've used apps before where you have to pre-key in the encounters before you're sitting at the table, but that doesn't suit with a reactive style of play.
+1 Upvote for party inventory and inventory containers
I'd like all published maps (cities, dungeons, towns, etc) to be put into a searchable format for ad-hoc and homebrew use. For example, I'd like to take Port Nyanzaru by just by filtering for "cities". Or an underground dungeon (ie Mad Mage stuff). And just use for homebrew purposes. Right now these types of assets are imbedded deep inside an adventure and I'd need to go through everything to find these nuggets of gold.
Or a jungle temple, etc.
Thanks,
Envaris

Ok so if I understand this thread there seems to be both the practical specific session management aspects of campaign management and the over arching aspects of campaign management.
Session Aspects
Encounter builder I want to be able to group my villains, monsters, and / hazards (like lair actions) into an encounter. This should include:
The character sheets I've created for villains and / or the entries for monsters from the manual
Those monster entries should be set more like the character sheets with the ability to check off abilities used and the like.
The ability to put these entries and my pc's sheets into an initiative tracker
The ability to automatically add the xp to my pc's when the encounter is over if XP is enabled.
The ability to generate a loot list from the encounter (this should have on my end the ability to toggle items on and off based on investigation checks) that my pc's have access to so that they can divy up the items easily.
Campaign Management
NPC Folders (These should be available to my viewing, but not my players). They should be campaign specific. And Could be generated by fill-in information for NPCs. Things like City, organization, quests, which would be tabs of on the NPC's sheet. Options to add other city's, organizations, and quests for NPC's that have more than one.
Different levels of NPC character generation. This should go up to full character sheet creation, but would not require it.
The ability for items and creatures made to not be open to players so it can be a surprise and not something they might accidentally find when they are typing in an item they bought or checking monsters they can summon.
The ability to add languages, skills, and tools as options for backgrounds and class choices (These should be campaign specific)
I had 2 suggestions, which were mentioned on this page by others but I want to emphasize them.
I'm a player using DDB for the PBP campaigns. It would be helpful if I could view a Campaign and see:
1) A link to the forum posting being used for that PBP. The DM could put the link on the Campaign page, and I could click that (and not just rely on Notifications).
2) A DM-edited text list that could be used for initiative order (including spots for the monsters). There should also be checkboxes of some sort, to make it easier to see who still needs to go, versus who has pre-posted their action for that turn.

I came across this site Worldanvil.com the other day and fell in love with it. I would be great if DnD Beyond partnered or purchased this and added it to the site.
The planning and write-up features help keep your game on track, and you can showcase what you’ve done to date. Your players can have access to their character sheets online, and attach journals of their adventures. On top of that, World Anvil offers a host of worldbuilding features – timelines, interactive maps and way more – to help you build up your homebrew world as your PCs explore further afield.
Agreed. I've started using world anvil for managing all my NPCs and their relationships. I was just about to ask them if they plan any integration with dndbeyond. Would be great to use Dndbeyond's character builder and import them into your world...
I think the big thing I've really been hoping for is a way, as the DM, to just have a consolidated view of everyone's stats/hp in one spot, rather than having as many tabs open as players [and having to refresh their pages to keep that info up to date]. I saw the upcoming twitch extension on PennyArcade today and that pretty much hit the nail on the head for me. I just want a screen for that information as an option for the DM of the campaign, to see the group's stuff in one spot.

An interactive and customizable "DM Screen" is on the roadmap for 2019 that will scratch this itch. We're excited to be able to work on that soon.
