Have there been any updates to this yet? I still can't seem to add a homebrew feat to one of my player's characters.
Has the user turned the homebrew toggle to "on" on the first page of the builder?
Once that has been done any homebrew feats you have created should appear as options at the ASI level, and when the user goes to their Features -> Feats -> Manage Feats section on the character sheet.
If you continue to have issues, please post the direct URL of the affected character from the address bar, not the share link; and a link to the homebrew you're trying to add. You do not need to publish the homebrew for me to see it.
Yep. To add a feat outside of the official ASI/feat progression. On the character sheet, in the large squarish box on the right, click on "Features and Traits." Scroll all the way to the bottom of that section and click on "Manage Feats."
No, I have never purchased anything through D&D Beyond. Is that what's keeping from being able to add feats?
Feats, with exception of the Grappler feat, is not available as part of the free content. You will need to purchase them to use them or have them shared to you in a campaign that has content sharing turned on. Most feats are available through the PHB in the Marketplace. You can buy the whole PHB, a bundle of all Feats or the individual feats. If buying just the feats the amount you pay is deducted from the cost of the PHB if you decide to purchase that at a future time.

Perhaps the situation is just not explained well, I have the Legendary Bundle and access to all content. I am able to create homebrew feats including my purchased content for myself and my players, however I'm not able to give it to them so it appears on their character sheets within DNDBeyond. The ability to add homebrew content seems to be missing a switch to be able to grant access to it or put it on someone's character sheet. Are there instructions on how to do that?
Ok, I have FINALLY found the answer. In order to use homebrew that you have created, or have access to in your character sheets, you must turn homebrew OFF, reload your character sheet, then turn it back ON for the homebrew to appear. This isn't intuitive.
Any updates on this subject? Since I can't seem to find out how to add an additional feat, not sure if the feature hasn't been added and I can't find it or not added yet.

Ah, that was it. Thanks, I thought there was a switch for that, but for the life of me I couldn't remember where it was.
I have homebrew and feats turned on but cannot figure out how to give a level one character a feat from the PHB. Is this possible?
Have you purchased the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond, or are you having it shared to you by another user?
ignorant user here, has this been added yet?

Ah, OK. Thanks for the information.
Still no word in 2019
I'm not sure what word you're looking for.

If the feat is in your collection, you can add it. I know this because I added a homebrew feat to a bunch of character sheets only a few weeks back.

That is likely a bug and not intended behaviour
