I would love to be able to "pop" the inventory window out/up, to show in in full screen on my browser, possibly opening in a separate tab.
I often am the one managing the groups inventory, eg. bag of holding and what is stored "at home" (and my knowledge cleric is possibly a bit of a hoarder). This leads to a very long list of a lot of things, and with the inventory window showing a maximum of 10 items (if it is aligned to not show the first heading), it is very difficult to get an overview.
I have 10 containers (this includes the default "Equipment") to try and keep stuff organized, eg. potions and scrolls in a pouch and such. When I search for something the top three containers are shown, and when no items are found in the "Equipment" two buttons for adding "Starting equipment or gold" or "Add items" are shown.
I would also love that/if when exporting to PDF the structure of the containers were kept, and stuff in a container (other than equipment) was perhaps prefixed with a dash, or some other character to indicate that it is inside what ever is above without a dash.
Currently the exported equipment make very little sense. It would be awesome if a special inventory sheet was made, so information in the note would also be included when exporting as this is where I keep track of charges on things like Healers Kit and such. It is also where I add "random" information like where we are supposed to deliver an item to.
I would love it if the "extra" option on your character sheet, that allows you to attach stat blocks to your character sheet for quick reference, contained the stat blocks that someone would like to add. You know, things like:
the steel defender (Ingeniously, you can specify that your additional stat block is your steel defender, but then you don't have an option to pick the steel defender stat block.)
the artificer homunculus
the beast companion (from TCoE)
the draconic ranger companion
the wild spirit
the dancing item
the creatures summoned by "Summon X" spells from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything
Basically whenever a stat block is mentioned inside an ability or a spell, that's cool and all, but dndbeyond doesn't recognise it as a creature. So you can't add it into extras, unless you make a homebrew stat block that is an exact copy of the one in the rules.
I honestly can't imagine how this issue wasn't registered and solved just internally by dndbeyond devs. It makes me think nobody in the dndbeyond design team actually plays D&D.

the issue is the scaling statblocks, which the system (and the Extras tab) weren't prepped to handle due to issues that the team is trying to fix due to the development history of Beyond (namely the fact it was originally rushed out to have a product, and was not futureproofed very well, which they are TRYING to resolve), and the fact that at the time the system was made, these scaling statblocks didn't exist.
so here's a lovely tip for you: you don't need to insult the devs. They are VERY aware, and they ARE trying to fix it, but there's a lot of things on the backend that you have no way of knowing about that need to be detangled, patched up, and fixed.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
1. The ability to add fully custom homebrew classes. This is far overdue and I have been wanting this for the last few years more than any other addition
2. The ability to add things into class features like homebrew Eldritch Invocation, Fighting Styles, Battlemaster Maneuvers, and the like.
Other than those two I am a simple man, I just really want these two.
I want to be able to sit down at my computer, have my players log into the virtual play space and have all the systems and information I need available to everyone as needed.
Have robust campaign/adventure tools so the encounters can be built and used as needed, track treasure and gold given, have both tactical and world maps that can be annotated.
Make it intuitive and user friendly.
The hardest part is to not make it feel like a slow moving MMO and preserve the Table Top experience so we can all see each other at the "table"
A character sheet that has skills listed under the core stat that controls them. This will make it easier to remember which stat to upgrade mid-game.

Writer and gamer and whiz with a spreadsheet. (The last one was forced upon me by my job.) I enjoy character and world building as well as a good fight.
This isn't for me personally, but this is a suggestion for D&DB and WotC as a whole, something that would help our hobby to grow more successful.
Interest is growing even greater than ever for D&D. Stranger Things of course is a big part of that, as is the coming D&D movie buzz. It started with Joe Mangianello, Critical Roll, and even Stephen Colbert playing it. It continues to steam roll. I learned from an acquaintance who is a principal at a high school that nearly 40 students (10% of the school) requested D&D as an after school club activity for this coming year.
With so many new people coming into the hobby, to me, this means there is going to be a great shortage of Dungeonmasters. Especially for beginners who are less knowledgeable, they will want to play characters, not DM. So D&DB and WotC should do more to nurture DMs. My suggestion is:
Set up a series of DM coaching classes and videos. Yes, there are thousands of videos out there from everyone under the sun including D&DB, but it's all over the place on so many topics with inconsistent quality and not well organized. They should offer a SPECIFIC COURSE SERIES OF VIDEOS on how to become a DM for beginners. A step-by-step video series. Couple the video training series with regular live webinars with limited attendance that need to be signed up for in advance, where beginners can also ask their own questions directly.
I think this would be a huge boon to our gaming community and games could proliferate with greater chance of success.

When it comes to the "Collections" menu where you can choose "my characters" or "my campaigns," etc., it would be nice to also be able to view specifically the content that has been purchased. "My Purchases" or "My Books" would be something that would help to get to items a lot quicker as a player and DM/GM. Also, when creating a campaign, it's awesome that we can choose what sourcebooks to share with our players that are joining the game, but that should also allow us to restrict books and classes from their character creation sheets as well. It could be a separate permissions area from the other one if that is easier. Thanks for a great online resource and for making such fun content!
I really wish i could have the abillity to homebrew player races with tasha rules that are not humanoid! Incase i wish to posses fiend or a celestial character that is actually a celestial or an actual fiend!

You already can. The creature type designation for a character sheet is simply plain text in a description field. You could homebrew a race of any creature type you want to.
Love DDB, almost exclusively digital now, excited for all the upcoming.
I had a thought; i am starting a new campaign as a player, and it is the first time playing a Barbarian. It would be cool if you could put a wee "rage" slider in with the conditions tab, that sets all the parameters to "rage".
Some sort of feedback that shows they are still developing D&D beyond. Recently (as many many other people on the forums have pointed out) there has been no real updates since the merge with WoTC.
The ability to multiclass within the same class. I.E. a Swashbuckler/Assassin multiclass. This would open up a massive and extraordinary resource for role playing and game playing. It seems silly that a rogue would not study multiple subclasses within his chosen class using the abilities scores that support that class.
I was thinking about certain "abilities" that you can turn off and on, eg rage for barbarians, invisibility, polymorph etc. especially when it changes stats and rolls and damage and whatnot, it would be wonderful to have a button or slider to indicate that, and activate that on your character sheet.
Can we also add spells like Mage armor to this? I've done the simple workaround of making an item, but I agree that it would be nice to have spells or traits that have an on/off toggle for various conditions/modifiers. May I also add that taking damage could then trigger an automatic roll for concentration? Failing the roll could then toggle off any spell that you are currently concentrating on.
Back to the barbarian, this could also auto toggle rage off if you are in combat using the combat tracker. Ten turns pass, you don't take damage or attack for one round, or what have you. The toggle off based on the number of turns would be great for many spells, too. With or without a popup that informs the player of the change when their turn comes around, based on player preference.
Online mechanics. Right now, all the campaign and material is for theatre of the mind and RPG backgrounds. There needs to be a serious upgrade of an online presence where the material is compatible and the content, maps, ect. are made for online VTT options. I know they're in process so I hope it is awesome. More and more of us are going online now that the technology is getting so good, and the ability to play with more people becomes more accessible.

To know the light, you must sometimes experience the dark.
One thing I noticed when I created a druid just now is that with the shape changing abilities of the druid the stats etc remain the same. Would be really sweet if when you transform either through, wild shape or other means, if you could change the stats on the sheet so that it reflects the creature you have turned into.

A big thing missing for us is the ability to share gear within a party / campaign.
Being able to select an item in one inventory and have a "give to [party pc select]" option would be awesome

I'd love to be able to transfer items between party members on DnD Beyond, especially if a party member dies or one sells/gifts it to another member.
Even if the DM has to transfer the items that would be great.
