Ahhh… I see what you mean now about adding the monsters. That makes sense.
As to that issue regarding Roll20, it’s something you’d have to bring up to them directly. DDB’s system doesn’t show that stuff to the players, Roll20’s system does. You must be using something like Beyond20 to port that info over to your VTT; right? DDB actively discourages the use of extensions like Beyond20 and therefore won’t give a hoot about what happens over on Roll20. (DDB doesn’t use “tokens” either.) So DDB doesn’t care what works or doesn’t work on Roll20, because their official stance is that we shouldn’t be using extensions to port to Roll20 (or any VTT) in the first place so it’s not their problem.
Dude, I am happy you do not have this problem, some of us do. I made a request, to solve the issue on this side, that might not be a huge problem for DNDBeyond.
Sooo, unless finding a solution for this causes some issues for you, could you pls.like not argue against it? I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you.

IamSposta's point is the issues you're having (adding tokens and revealed initiatives) are not something within D&D Beyond's control as you're not using D&D Beyond's tools when you're experiencing those things. Those issues lie with whatever third party platform or extension you're using.

It would be nice it clicking on a Condition actually applied that condition to the character. (Click Restrained and Movement becomes 0, etc.) And with that, add other Conditions to the list, (Bless, Guidance, etc.) or some other way to track them on your character. Maybe a button box like for Inspiration? Without a tabletop or VTT, it can be hard to track all that stuff.
Speaking of... a virtual tabletop would be lovely. It doesn't have to be fancy (I'm not asking for Foundry or anything) but just a screen with "you are here" and "mobs are there", would be nice.

Writer and gamer and whiz with a spreadsheet. (The last one was forced upon me by my job.) I enjoy character and world building as well as a good fight.
I'm going to echo those who said Virtual Tabletop like Roll20...but more user friendly. And all modules that you already own on DDB would be set up for use the same way they are when you buy them on Roll20. And it could also be used for homebrew with some easy way to integrate line of site/darkvision and revealed areas.
I'd also like a full-on NPC stat generator with spells and domains selected at any level. The Character Builder still requires some things to be manually created. I think it would be nice to even add name generator and trait generator within that. For those situations where you need to build an NPC on the fly mid-game quickly. I've searched online and while there are a few tools online for this, they are all a bit rough and inadequate.

More ways to filter lists! For example, I want to filter spells by range, so I know for the Mage Slayer feat how likely I am to take a touch spell to the face, but there's currently no option to do that. And also I have some digital books, but not others, so a button on most large lists (feats, spells, monsters, etc) to simply filter by the books I currently own and exclude all the books I don't would be very helpful, because it's quite tedious to have to manually enter each individual book I own, while also double-checking I haven't forgotten I actually own a book to filter by. Just being able to *click* and filter out all the stuff I don't already own would be lovely. (I understand having those locked options visible encourages us to buy them, but if we can't afford them, then all they do is irritate us.)
I think this has probably been asked for before, but I want to request clickable/rollable Sidekick character creation. And not have them require to be linked to a specific character. We use them as rotating npc support players for our team.

I'm in the no virtual tabletop crowd. There are already incredibly good vtts i want them to make using those tools as conveniently and cost effectively as possible. I simply don't believe they won't increase price by $10 or so and try to force all dnd players to use their vtt. Everyone who plays multiple games will require increased costs and effort to do so. Work with other vtts to allow them to smoothly use paid products in their system.

100% opposite here. I already buy everything here. Without being able to fully transfer that content to another VTT easily, I'd absolutely pay a bit extra to have an integrated 5E-focused VTT here. While some of the other 3rd party VTTS are decent, full-featured options (Fantasy Grounds or Foundry), I still need to either purchase content there directly or do a lot of manual work to import DDB content I've already paid for here. I don't see WotC dropping their support of the other VTTs and "forcing:" anyone to only use Beyond, but we need the option here too.

agree. I own the module and the manuals here…so it’s double spending to have to buy it on Roll20….

100% agree. Having Sidekick creation options would be great as a DM since they have class stats now.
Hello everybody! Come a little closer, take a cookie and listen up.
I am from Germany. Currently DMing Tomb Of Annihilation for my group. I can read and write English just fine. Same goes for my players. First we bought the German translations of the core books and even Xanathars Guide To Everything. But still, D&DB slowly creeped it's way into our game. It's just so god damn handy.
Of course there was a moment of saltyness when we realized that we had to buy the books multiple times (print, D&DB, roll20 for maps/vtt), but we understand. Every involved party had it's fair share of work converting the books into their product and retroactively subsidizing follow up sales of D&D products when there are multiple parties involved is probably close to impossible from a business perspective.
Now we are constantly juggling between the German prints and the English D&DB and oh boy is this annoying. Some things just have different names. This makes looking stuff up slow. Plus a thing we look up on D&DB gets remembered by it's english name which leads to a mix of English and German while speaking in character. Ruins the rpg aspect for us if somebody says "Ich caste meinen Elderitch Blast auf die Sea Hag". Sadly this happens for over 50% of the things we name from the D&D universe.
So here we are. Wanting to use D&DB so badly and, frankly, doing so more and more. But at the same time our roleplay is decreasing. This kind of English/German mix while talking feels more like playing a videogame and talking via Discord to us than playing out a character in a medieval world.
We understand that it's difficult from a business perspective to get the translation files from the German publisher. They worked hard on these translations. To make it even more complex it wouldn't even be a Curse<->German Publisher deal but a Curse<->WotC<->Hasbro(?)<->Galeforce Nine<->German Publisher deal (as far as we understand).
So me and my group talked about this and agreed on a compromise that would satisfy us big time. Maybe this is just as complex and difficult to archive as full translations. Maybe this is way more likely to get handwaved through a meeting where all parties are involved. We don't know. But maybe you guys know, so here it is:
We would really appreciate if we could get partial translations for names. Names of spells, monsters, items... you get the idea. Bonus points for translated narrative text boxes in adventure modules but tbh albeit it would slow me down a little bit I could just read through them and paraphrase it to my players in German.
Being able to turn on a second language in your D&DB settings and getting a translation of all proper names would increase our "roleplay flow" by a huge margin. A simple, bracketed translation that gets inserted after the name of a thing (that is unique to the D&D universe) would be enough. Wikipedia is already doing this in some articles.
Here is a quick & dirty mockup how it could look on D&DB:
(Just a quick HTML insert without worrying about styling)
I think that most DMs that complain about missing translations here or on Reddit don't even have a problem with getting the information out of an English rule- or adventure book. They probably just want to convert the D&D universe to the native language of all present players while playing.
DMs that absolutely need a full blown German translation probably aren't even aware of D&DB. Right now there is no way for a German DM to know D&DB if he or she doesn't hang out in English communities like Reddit or follows English D&D content on Youtube which begs the question if the German publisher would even "lose" any sales.
Names are just a thing that you often can't translate by just being good in the involved languages. For example a "Hag" is a "Vettel" in german. Good luck cross linking this between German books and English D&DB on the fly.
Five years later and it is still the thing that bugs me the most. D&DB is so handy that it's being used in all our sessions but the english/german mix is destroying our roleplay.
Just lost all of my character's options across all of my campaigns because I wasn't paying 6 bucks a month annually. FOR NO REASON> Gaining no content just accessing content we already have in multiple formats across each other. That's 15 people who regularly buy books on dnd beyond who are going to switch back to only paper and physical books since we can't get the options we all have access too across all our characters. We will never buy from this platform again until WOTC gets it's head out of it's butt. AGAIN. Every time WOTC takes over something they break it immediately. [REDACTED]

I'm somewhat confused by your issue; are you saying that your master tier subscription ended and you lost access to all of your shared content? If so, that's how it's always been and has nothing to do with the WotC acquisition. That's actually the entire point of the master tier subscription; to enable content sharing.
