In the Forgotten Realms the sobriquet of Umberlee is "***** Queen of the Seas."
She is thus titled, "The ***** Queen, Queen of the Depths" in Faiths and Pantheons, pg. 82
Why then is Beyond censoring and telling me that the use of ***** is a violation of the use of adult language in my home-brew submission? In the context of a magical artifact dedicated to Umberlee it seems very appropriate to use this word, a term coined by Ed Greenwood, not by myself.

What's more, the Tortle Package adventure includes a ship named the ***** Queen, captained by a cleric of Umberlee.
As you say, there's a strong connection.

Stormknight, I submitted my initial home-brew for the Dread Ship of Umberlee in December, which got approved; I then created a newer update which I submitted a couple of days ago that got rejected; I re-submitted the rejected item and it got approved.
The initial rejection for the second version was attached with bold red letters, "rejected for use of adult language."
I just want to be sure your moderators/approvers understand that the use of '*****' is in the context of an officially published sourcebook and that they should be knowledgeable of the Forgotten Realms before rejecting something.
Can you provide a link to the moderators for PM? This is not readily visible. Thanks.
Just reach to the moderators using the private message system - we are all flagged with orange names, and post regularly on the forums (we are pretty easy to find).
In this particular case, a mod asked me (I'm the main homebrew mod) about the use of swearing and adult language in homebrew - I advised to reject. Looking back with context, I wouldn't have made the same judgement call, but that is what I did at the time. We've said multiple times that if you have an issue with homebrew approvals, that private message is the best way to deal with it.
We are looking at improving the communication flow with homebrew - looking towards a commenting system, both public and potentially private (between author and mods), so hoping that in the future it becomes easy to ask about homebrew.

Now you know to always ask for context.

Thanks and much appreciated Sorce; I didn't really know the protocol for disputing a rejection, its much clearer now.

It just occurred to me--is there a way to identify mods other than the orange name? For most of us, that works great, but for those who are color blind or have significant vision issues, that might not be a workable approach. My brother is color blind, and he likely couldn't identify which names are orange.

They all have little orange swords on the left of their names. Staff members have red stylized Bs.

There's also a little sword icon by their user name. Just like there's the "B" icon beside mine.

Ah, I had noticed that. For some folks who are color blind, they might not be able to distinguish between the background and the sword (or the name), although that's just a guess on my part. I know there's a wide variation in what/how folks with colorblindness see colors.

Hi chibi_grazzt,
in order to understand the problem, is it that you can't submit or you can submit, but it has been rejected?

Tooltips (Help/aid)
I can see that you have several homebrew approved and currently none in the rejected list.
I'm guessing that you're referring to your item Dread Ship of Umberlee, which has been approved, as has the revision to it.
Please note that if you have an issue or question with moderation of your homebrew, the preferred course of action is to PM a moderator.
