I already have the Legendary Bundle from DnD Beyond. I know Monsters of the Multiverse updates some of the existing monsters/NPCs and makes races/lore less region specific, but is there really any reason to purchase the new book? It doesn't sound like it's adding much more—if any—new content than what I already have access to. I'm trying to decide if this book is worth it.
Does anyone know if there is unique content going into this book or if it's just an updated appendix of races and monsters?
I think it's very likely to have some new races, as they floated several in Unearthed Arcana several months ago. Probably a handful of new monsters too.
My advice to you is the advice I'd give anyone: wait and see what's in it when it comes out. You'll be able to make a much more informed decision then.

As all the races have been "leaked", the only race that it has that specifically has never been in a book is the Tortle.
There are arguments to be made about the monsters not being unique. I like different versions or variant versions because as a DM it gives me more mindless flexibility on what to present without having to go to homebrew. In that vein, you can argue every monster is unique as everything in the book has been altered in some way, shape or form from its original presentation. Your mileage is going to vary on that.
There is little reason to buy it if you have all the previous books. They have made some updates, but for thr price you're paying...I wouldn't bother. It's a great book if you don't already have them, but it's not really worth buying just for a few updates to the stat blocks and races etc.

As I don’t have many (any) of the monster books, I’m probably going to buy this one - it has all the races (plus new ones), for about 30 dollars. It’s good value for me, since I’m not having to buy all the out of date books to get the races. I’d agree with not getting it till it comes out if you have the legendary bundle though - it might literally just be expensive errata.

Just to make sure you're not disappointed - it doesn't contain all the races. It contains the majority, but PHB races and several others like Warforged, Owlin, Leonin as well as a few others are not present in MotM. It's still good value, but I didn't want you to buy it and be disappointed because you expected the list to be comprehensive.

I think it is also a good idea to remember that the races in MMM might have the same name as those presented in Mordy's, Volo's and other sources, but there are some mechanical differences for almost all of them while a few have had significant changes made. Same with the monsters as well. Most of the book is not just a copy and paste reprint. I really recommend taking a look at the changes and then pick the version you prefer to use. Our group really likes the changes that have been made, with a few minor and ignorable exceptions, but your group may not feel the same.

The tortle is in Wildemount. You just aren’t able to a la carte it from there.
I agree with Scatterbraind. Wait till it comes out and you can make a more informed decision then.

I can’t remember what’s supposed to go here.
I agree with you.
