Yes I am. My DM has purchased everything & has shared all with us.
Is the character in the campaign that has content sharing turned on?
Artificers do not choose subclasses until they are Level 3 in that class. Is your character 3rd level or higher? The subclasses are referred to as Artificer Specialities.

For the third time...yes, sharing has been enabled. My character is Level 4. I guess my question is whether or not Artificer has been added to D&D Beyond.

That's not what Cyb3rM1nd was asking. Content sharing only grants access to characters in the specific campaign that content sharing is enabled for. If you're just creating the character on your own, you won't have access, even if content-sharing is enabled. You have to make a character in that specific campaign. It's very possible that you're already doing that as well! Everyone is just trying to exclude the obvious possibilities so they can help more effectively.
Yes to the first three questions, no to the last two questions. I want to multi-class...I’m already a 4th level sorcerer & want to add a second class for Alchemy.

It sounds like you don't have any levels in the Artificer class. You cannot take the Alchemist sub-class until you have reached level 3 Artificer class, as Alchemist is a sub-class under that class. Your 4 levels in Sorcerer are exclusively levels in Sorcerer - those levels don't apply to another class. So you cannot get a second sub-class yet.
If you want to multiclass now to become an Alchemist, you need to take your 5th level in Artificer which makes you a Sorcerer 4/Artificer 1. When you are a Level 7 character - Sorcerer 4/Artificer 3 then you can take Alchemist as your Artificer sub-class, but not until you have those Artificer levels.
I hope that's what you're asking and clears that up! If not, if you think it's something not working right on the selection screen, maybe show us a screenshot of the "Add a Class" screen where it's not showing you what you're looking for. If it's there but grayed out it might be because you don't have the right stat prerequisite (Intelligence 13+).
But, I'm not even finding the Artificer class within the Class dropdown field. I have access to all of the materials on D&D Beyond as my DM has purchased everything and has enabled to share with all of us.
You're probably already doing this, but just to be ABSOLUTELY certain, make sure you're doing it like this: https://i.imgur.com/qdHshkw.png
This is assuming your character is already in the correct campaign, but it's worth double checking they're on the list. If they are, make sure they are NOT set to "Deactive" - deactive characters appear lower on the list and grayed-out. Deactive characters can't use content shared.
Also, are you using EXP leveling? If so, make sure you have a level available to expend and didn't accidentally already add that level into Sorcerer.
Go to "Creations" - "Campaigns" and click on the campaign the character is in and double check that content is enabled as shown above. If you don't see "CONTENT ENABLED BY [namehere]" as shown on the top left of that screen, then it's not enabled properly (if the DM is sure they enabled it but it's not showing, ask them to make sure their subscription hasn't expired - that happened to our group recently and we just didn't realize it). If it IS enabled, then ask your DM to do the instructions in that image to ensure Eberron content HAS been purchased, IS showing up on the Content Management list, and has NOT somehow been accidentally de-activated.
If all the above checks out, and the DM is sure everything shown above is correct, and you're definitely in the campaign and not deactivated, I'd suggest you ask the DM to contact Support.
gamsil - I will have to have my DM contact Support then. Everything you listed is already there & present. This is why I don't understand why the Artificer class is not being shown in the Class choices. Thanks.
Why isn't there an Alchemy class available to pick when making a character? It is suppose to be available for D&D 5e.
Thank you.
Hi there,
are you referring to the Alchemist subclass, which is part of the Artificer subclass?
It's available as part of the sourcebook Eberron: Rising from the Last War.

You can buy just the subclass if you don't want the whole book. Buying any artificer subclass unlocks the base class for free.
My DMs already have purchased all of the manuals in D&D Beyond, but that subclass is not seen at all in any of the dropdowns.
are you in a campaign here at DDB that has sharing enabled by someone with a master subscription?
And is eberron content enabled in preferences on character sheet?

Yes it is added here, you need the eberron content turned on on your character sheet and that character to be in the shared campaign.

Yes the artificer has been added, we have given answers specific to artificer. Things that have already been suggested:
You have answered yes to all of these, but if that were true you would be and alchemist. So:
5. Are you already an alchemist?
Yes to the first three questions, no to the last two questions. I want to multi-class...I’m already a 4th level sorcerer & want to add a second class for Alchemy.
Then become an artificer. We said it was an artificer subclass at the beginning:
[Edit]artificer "sub"class is clearly a typo. Subclasses don't have subclasses.
It sounds like you don't have any levels in the Artificer class. You cannot take the Alchemist sub-class until you have reached level 3 Artificer class, as Alchemist is a sub-class under that class. What is your Intelligence score?
If you don't have Intelligence of 13 or higher, normal multiclassing rules prevent you from taking levels in Artificer.
Please do not contact or message me.
Can you post a link to the character, and a mod can see exactly what is wrong.
Assuming:
you should see Artificer when you click "Add a class" at the bottom of the class page in the character editor.
