Locke closed his eyes and breathed deeply as the party entered the forest. He was ready for adventure, and all the benefits that the training would bring. Especially the extra benefits from his patron.
The merchant turned back to the others. "The unexplored section is just that way," he said, pointing towards the distance.
Ruaccek, "Greeting all. Seeing Locke he moves towards him I am Ruaccek..I prefer to work from the sky when it's feasible. I will not move faster than the group and should the terrain require it I will walk although my pace is slower on land. I am a skilled with the crossbow and clerical spells. I can provide Aid to three individuals granting 5 temporary HP for 8 hrs. Should we encounter anything I will tend to fight from a ranged arial position when possible. Let me know if you would like the Aid spell cast on you."
Ruaccek waits for the others to decide and takes flight once the aid spell is cast on the chosen few.

Rizo takes a deep breath when they enter the forest moments after they gathered at the city gate, “Good to be back out here.” Then he turns to the group, “Well met! I’m Rizo.” After listening to Ruaccek’s introduction, he says, “Without disrespect, I can also offer the Aid spell at a more powerful level, raising max HP by 15 for 3 individuals. I would cast it on the the three with lowest HP.”
Locke looked over both his companions, as if pondering, then stated, "I'd be glad of such a spell from either of you. We've got time before reaching the new area for the casting. Hmm... interesting spell in general, I may have to look into acquiring it too."
“Sure,” Rizo replies and targets the three lowest health members with his spell (I don’t know who has how much).
(( OOC: In the campaign, you can see each of our character sheets, or a link to Gordon's. Edit: Also, just waiting on Gordon's intro post before setting us off. ))
(OOC: Rizo’s aid goes to Gordon, Ruaccek and Locke, all of which can raise their HP and max HP by 15 for 8 hours. We are only four, right? I think it isn’t necessary to waste a spell slot to cast aid only for Rizo, with his constitution he has a large health pool already and perhaps we need the spells.)
Along with the spell, Rizo offers a selection of treats that he had prepared in the tavern before leaving, effectively providing 3 temporary HP to Gordon, Ruaccek and Locke. “Honeyed nuts with a breath of the weave,” he describes the offer.
Edit: I just realised that I wasn't carefully reading Glyph of Warding and wanted to cast it as a consumable, which doesn't work, sadly. Therefore, I deleted this original post.

(( OOC: Gotcha, no worries. Don't forget too, that temporary hit points from different sources don't stack; we'd only be able to keep the 15 temp HP from the spell anyways. ))
But the spell Aid doesn't provide temporary HP, it raises your maximum actual HP by 15 and fills those, too. This means particularly that you can heal those 15 HP back during the 8 hours of the spell, which isn't possible with temporary HP.

OOC- Thanks for the info on not stacking Temps. I'll adjust Ruaccek accordingly. updated...
Continuing his preparations, Locke turned toward Rizo. "You look built to take a hit or two. Shall I trust you to be our primary melee combatant? Gordon here should be a proper companion in that, I'd think. And as a monk, I'll assist as well, although I shall take up a ranged position from time to time." He glanced toward Ruaccek, who'd already taken to the air. "Looks like our flying companion has the aerial assaults covered. I think we'll do well."

Preparations complete, the party proceeded toward the unexplored part of the forest.
(( Encounter 1 ))
About an hour into your journey, you all find that the trees seem to be... getting larger. Not as in growing before your eyes, but rather, the trees in this section of the forest seem much larger than the ones you've seen so far. Ruaccek had to lower his altitude significantly to stay under the forest canopy, but even he is finding he has more space to fly as you progress. Within fifteen more minutes, the trees are enormous, each being at least ten feet in diameter at the base. It is then that you notice the stones.
Clearly headstones, they seem to mark graves. But the graves are, proportionally, as large as the trees; each one towers over you all, and there seem to be maybe a dozen, in regular rows. It appears that you've come across a giant graveyard of some sort. But a very old one, as there is no sign of the grounds being tended to, and even the lettering on the headstones has worn away to complete illegibility.
It's as you're all examining the stones that you feel a slight, periodic tremor in the ground. Within seconds, a pack of ogres whose approach was hidden behind the enormous trees come into view; except they shambling, their feet landing with heavy thuds. Their low moans and dead-eyed expressions clue you in as they seem to be heading straight toward you--these aren't just ogres, they're zombie ogres!
(( There are four zombies; they are all large, and are 50 feet from the party. They're also wielding rusted, well-worn (but oversized) morningstars, and wearing tattered, worm-eaten clothing rather than armor. The forest canopy is now a good 120 feet above you all; @Ruaccek, let me know how high you've chosen to be flying. ))

Ruaccek,
"Kaw.. " Ruaccek signals he's 30' up and paced with Locke when arial travel is feasible. Otherwise, he's walk pace is 25' on the ground.
He carries keeps his hands free in case he needs to use spells instead of weapons. He'll stay alert for air creatures as well as land.
updated distance to keep within 30' for Rapier of Warning
