Editing a post will cause the formula to be re-evaluated when it is saved the second time. I try to put the rolls in a separate post from the description of the action so that I can edit grammar or other issues without disturbing the rolls.
We understand this can happen. Just post the original value. I trust you (and my team mates to pick me up when I get dropped).
"Come on fella, I may be small but no reason to turn your back on me", Kiafra says as he marks the creature as his prey.
He then takes advantage of the distraction and not so gently prods the creature in the back of the head with his warhammer. As he strikes, he further marks the creature as a favored foe. He then swings the weapon around in a circle, looking to crack it on the back of the head again with more momentum this time.
Movement: Steps in behind the creature, flanking with Bryskin. Bonus Action: Slayer's Prey - See spoiler for details
As a bonus action, you designate one creature you can see within 60 ft. and the first time each turn that you hit that target with a weapon attack, it takes an extra 1d6 damage. This benefit lasts until you finish a short or long rest or if you designate a different creature.
Action: Attack with warhammer two handed x 2 (Advantage due to flanking) - If hit marks as Favored Foe - See spoiler for details
The first time on each of your turns that you hit the favored enemy and deal damage to it, including when you mark it, you can increase that damage by 1d4. You can use this feature to mark a favored enemy a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Attack 1 - To Hit: (4, 9)+10=19, Damage: 8+6=14 [magical bludgeoning] Attack 2 - To Hit: (18, 6)+10=28, Damage: 10+6=16 [magical bludgeoning] Note: First attack that hits adds: 4 [magical bludgeoning] (Slayer's Prey) + 2 [magical bludgeoning] (Favored Foe) Special: Creature marked as Slayer's Prey and Favored Foe

It's alright! The roll would have missed Bryskin anyways.
Flèche had already rushed to interpose himself between Crowbeak and Comstock--or what Comstock had become--and now drew Écharde as he realized the danger. He was a bit surprised at how quickly the others were to deal with the situation. "Huh, they're pretty strong adventurers," he thought as he made a decision he hoped he wouldn't regret.
He didn't have any magics to contain the creature long enough to matter, never mind possibly change him back. From their actions, and the fact that they were experienced enough to consider the option, he figured the others probably didn't either... which meant taking the man out was likely their only recourse. The bard suppressed a wince, knowing the man's family (presuming he had some in town; he assumed he did, but had never asked his relatives) would have to be told of this afterwards. But if the threat had to be stopped, he wasn't going to shy away from stopping it.
"Sorry, Comstock," he whispered under his breath as his face hardened and he lunged, his feet gliding inches above the floor as he closed the distance. The bard whipped his rapier out in a sweep to feint, then levitated another foot to strike from an odd, defensible angle, before finally dropping low to the ground and spinning into another defensible thrust from beneath the creature.
(( Rolls are in the campaign roller, timestamped close to this post. ))
MOVE: Using Winged Boots to assist in closing in with Comstock ACTION: Two attacks with his rapier * Écharde Strike 1 - Attack: 21, Damage: 10 magical piercing * Écharde Strike 2 - Attack: 18, Damage: 12 magical piercing EXTRA: Using Defensive Flourish on first hit to add an additional 2 damage to the hit, and increase his AC by +2 (to 20 total) until his next turn
"Comstock" retaliates from the first attack Kiafra sends his way, narrowly avoiding the attack and launching itself backwards towards the wall at a quick enough speed to make it a blur. However, the second attack does strike him, the creature letting out a screech as the blow strikes its face.
Comstock uses its reaction to add 4 to its AC against the first strike, bumping it up to 21, and it moves itself 10 feet away without promoting an opportunity attack from the attacker.
Its suffering continues as both odd strikes slice its scrawny legs, The creature lifting its hands to its face and screaming into them. It's an absolutely miserable creature, wounds now covering its rotting body and making the most horrendous noises. Pathetic.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wim watches the creature with interest, following its movements; though monstrous in appearance -- though cursed, or diseased, or changed, or whatever it is -- there's something more sad about it than anything else, even as it swipes forward, feral. She wonders if it can think, reason; she wonders if there is a person left inside, or if that has been sloughed off like a skin. Greatsword in hand, she allows her eyes to close for half a breath; the words no more than a murmur, the faintest strands of light gather at her fingertips, and -- despite the high likelihood that it will make no impact, still unwilling to try anything else first -- she casts Dispel Magic on the creature who was once Comstock.
(Just in case it happens to be relevant, the roll for 3rd level Dispel Magic would be: 19.)
Bryskin sees the battle break out, noticing.the pathetic sobbing of the creature. Deciding that this creature would be better off dead, he dances forward and stabs the creature with his rapier. After attacking, he dances back five feet and fires a bolt from his crossbow into the creature.
Rapier, with sneak attack because of Rakish Audacity 25 to hit, 21 damage
Used fancy footwork to move backward five feet
Used crossbow expert to shoot it with crossbow. 20 to hit, 7 damage.

Now that the villagers have gotten to safety, Vaalsh peers back inside the house, eyes wide. The monster that became of Comstock was lamentable, some sort of affront to nature. The other brave souls here were ready to fight it too, so it seems the task was doable.
The satyr then makes a hand gesture towards the monster and intones: "Thiath"¹, dousing it in pale blue fire.
¹sacred flame, Dex Save DC 17, on fail: Damage: 11 + 5 (radiant soul) = 16 radiant
OOC: It was my bad because I forgot this Swashbuckler feature, and I don't think it will affect the initiative order, but my initiative was technically 9 because I could add my CHA modifier to it as well as DEX.

Wim, just as it happened the first time, the spell does little more than rattle the spectral chains it has on its limbs.
With little aplomb, the creature falls dead to the floor. With a combination of holy flames burning it and a multitude of stab woulds and cuts, it merely slumps to the ground, and begins to... bubble. The body melts away into red slop, the only thing left being a puddle of red and... something under the armor that's left. Something... fleshy.
The room goes quiet, and the area outside from the window grows darker. The elder's still unconscious... the blow he took must have been awful. And with a little bit of a pause, a loud thunderclap sounds outside. There goes a nice, summer day.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Convinced the threat was ended, Flèche turned back to Crowbeak, and looked the dwarf over. He muttered a soft chant, directing healing magic towards the unconscious form in the hopes it would revive him.
(( Casting Healing Word on Crowbeak: 7 HP recovered. ))
(( And immediately screwed over by the inline roller; that is NOT supposed to be a 1d20+2 roll. I'll use the character sheet roller instead: 6 HP recovered. ))
The bubbling thing on the floor was terrible to behold. Wincing, Vaalsh was glad that the bard had already rushed over to the elders help, so that she would not have to step into the room. And since the thing had melted, talking to it was also off the table.
Looking to the sky, she saw the clouds rolling in. The satyr liked rain, but it did seem in that moment that it wasn't the messenger of growth and life like other times. It made her imagine how the sickness that took Comstock might spread further, enveloping the land.
She busied herself by using her magic senses (detect magic) to scan the room and the location where the knight had died. Just to make sure.
Kiafra lets out a satisfied grunt as the creature falls, watching with fascination as it melts away.
He uses his warhammer to move the armour out of the way so he can get a good look at the fleshy remains.
”A strange creature in life, and stranger still in death. I can only assume it was unusually weak compared to whatever overtook that village. Or perhaps they conquer by strength of numbers”, he states, talking as much to himself as the others.
Bryskin looks down at the puddle of red goo on the ground, and moves back over to it. "This should be contained. I'm sure it's as dangerous as the red fog, if not more." He keeps his rapier pointed down at the puddle, and turns to Wim. "I see you know magic, probably a lot better than I do. Do you happen to be educated in the ways of death, or undeath?"

With a cough, Crowbeak slowly awakens from the impact thanks to Fléche's magic, only to see the body puddle and armor on the ground. "My gods... Comstock, my boy..." He stands up, wincing and taking a walk over to the armor on the floor. "Thank you. Thank you all for sending him to peace." Crowbeak wipes a small tear from his eyes.
Vaalsh, the magic you can sense is now very clear. Right under the piece of armor where Kiafra is, beating much louder. So this is the source, it seems.
Kiafra, beneath the armor shows a still pulsating piece of meat. It looks like some kind of organ, similar to a liver or spleen. On it shows the branding of a bat.
(( Huh, weird. Roll changed. ))
