Velmine shares the money. 3gp for every member of the party, but Corvin gets one more for how much Hold Person helped. She decides to give the key and the stone to Eiren. She'd love to keep them, but it'd be better to keep all the keys with just a few people, and she doesn't know how to identify the stone. She can't even read the scroll, so she has no idea which of her 4 allies would be able to use it. She lets Xavier grab it as they're investigating together.
"Okay, moving along... Seems like we got a way out of this room through the gate. And, we could always go back, but I'm still more interested in that set of doors right over there." She points to the wall with the door. "Just my opinion, though. Ain't gonna push it."
Eiren wonders aloud, "Suppose we were able to bind this golem to our service and activate it. It could be useful..."
If the group allows, Eiren will ritual-cast Detect Magic. He looks around for a sign that perhaps the wizard or priest had an item that might allow for control of the golem, like a rod, or amulet, helmet, etc. He will also search the room while concentrating on detecting magic, to see if he can turn up anything else.
If time allows, Eiren will also cast Identify as a ritual, on the stone that Velmine gave him.
Eiren casts detect magic in order to to see if there is any magical items that control the golem. The only magic in the room besides any items that you have and the Teleportation Circles which you can tell is somehow damaged, the green mist, and the white gate.
However as you are preparing for the ritual you notice that the Golem is still under construction. After the spell is finished you go over and see if you can activate it. But you draw a blank 🤔
Spending some more time to cast a second ritual you identify the stone as a Transmuter's Stone (Proficiency on Con Saves)
I believe that you decided to open the double doors is that correct?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Velmine sees Eiren struggling thinking over at the golem, she will approach and look over his shoulder. Being among the smartest people in the group, there's a chance she'd actually be able to solve it, at least in her mind.
Intelligence Check:12 (I don't know if this intelligence check was 1-chance only, if it was exclusive to Eiren, or if Detect Magic was important to make the check. I'm doing it anyway and leaving to the DM to keep their right to ignore the roll.)
Velmine had no complaints about waiting for rituals, and she thinks going down that door is a good idea.
Velmine studies the golem while Eiren is doing the first ritual. She figures out how to activate it. Velmine now has a reduced-threat clay golem that sees her as its creator and that obeys Your orders, in the absence of a new order it will try to continue the last order given.
Blind Obedience. When its creator or possessor is on hand to command it, a golem performs flawlessly. If the golem is left without instructions or is incapacitated, it continues to follow its last orders to the best of its ability. When it can’t fulfill its orders, a golem might react violently — or stand and do nothing. A golem that has been given conflicting orders sometimes alternates between them.
A golem can’t think or act for itself. Though it understands its commands perfectly, it has no grasp of language beyond that understanding, and can’t be reasoned with or tricked with words.
Constructed Nature. A golem doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
You will roll a separate initiative for it, but I will play it as NPC. It has 67 HP. I'm not sure if it can be healed. (I'll research it)
I don't have time right now to edit the new map. I will be fairly busy this weekend and may not get it done until Monday, although I will try to do it tonight or tomorrow.

After Eiren starts walking away from the golem, Velmine swoops in and starts taking the actions she deduced would be needed. It'd be a lot harder if it wasn't so close to being done, clearly, so... in a few seconds, she gets away from the golem, tapping her hands together to get rid of the clay, and with a smile, she says. "And... Done! It should be working now. Let me just give it a command." She says something in Infernal, and the golem understands, in turn raising its hand with a palm wide open. Velmine high-fives that hand with excitement. "So? How do you like it? As if all my animals weren't enough. Just gotta make sure I understand everything about it before we proceed."
"Uh... Sure. I think I know enough..." She didn't. "So, uh... I don't know how to heal any damage done to you, so, for now, don't go headfirst into danger, okay? You'll be walking close to me, I can send my dog further to the back for this. So, if you can move to an enemy and attack them, you should do it. If all of them are far away, you can get closer, but make sure you're not hit, okay?"
(Basically, make the order be: E, C, X, V, G, B, M. And, if the golem can walk to an enemy on its turn, it should, and it should attack them. If it can't, it should walk the distance it can to get closer, but then dodge instead of dashing to get to them. In a circumstance that there is no enemy, it doesn't need to move at all, as long as it's close to Velmine.)
Unsurprisingly Velmine don't know a whole lot about Golems.
(Now, now. That's not fair. She knows a lot about Iron Golems (link). I guess she might mistakenly think the two are the same in terms of characteristics?)
"Yup!" Velmine says, a bright smile on her face, as the golem started following her.
(We just gotta wait until the DM can do it because Matthew said it'd be hard to get the map until monday. Said it was because of not having the time to do it before then.)

Ok, you also know the following
Velmine uses her arcane lore to see what she remembers about golems (I am going to use the Iron Golem's stats, since the name of the first sector in The Iron Golem Foundries). She knows the following information about Iron Golems
It attacks with it's fists, or a weapon, or with it's poisonous breath.
Whenever the golem is subjected to fire damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the fire damage dealt.
It's weapons are considered magical
The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
The golem in immune to the following damage types Damage ImmunitiesFire, Poison, Psychic; Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Adamantine
You can assume that there are differences between Iron and Clay Golems
Eiren opens the the double doors and reveals a short ser of stairs leading up taking them he sees...
Pillars of white marble glow with an intense white light that brightly illuminates the area. The light is so bright that it almost obscures the arcane glyphs carved in the archways that lead into the room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Velmine closes one eye to decrease the amount of light incoming, even a little bothered by it before she starts looking over the glyphs trying to see if she can tell anything out of them. Sure, arcana was not her strength, but she was smart enough to have some basic understanding some starting apprentices would be envious of.

Before going into the room, Eiren takes a moment to consider the clay golem's oversized form. "Since iron golems can imbibe fire to heal themselves, it would stand to reason that other golems could do similar things. They are impressive creations, after all. But perhaps different golems respond to different elements. Fire bakes clay. And frost would likewise freeze it, and make it brittle. That leaves lightning, acid, poison, and thunder; if we're just thinking in terms of natural elements.
Continuing to eye the golem, he rubs his beardless chin. "If I was to face one of these in the arena, I should think that thunder, magical force, necrosis and radiance would be quite effective...in addition flame and frost, of course. Psychic damage is a nonstarter, naturally...as it doesn't have a brain...and I shouldn't think poison would have any effect at all. No blood or digestive system. Therefore we are left with lighting and acid. So should we assume it can somehow conduct electricity, or that acid would somehow strengthen it?"
Golem check: 5
After this, and upon entering the room, Eiren attempts to help Velmine with understanding the arcane glyphs. He will carefully run his fingers over the runes in the archway.
