Talon listens to Charles wide eyed! "Speaking as a Dwarf you will find that belt amazingly useful." Talon seems to be getting a little too emotional about it. "I will throw my hat in the ring as one who will where it if needed but it will clearly be of great use to you. Besides the wonderful added health, you will be able to see in the dark and avoid poison .... and " Showing his wonderful red beard "you can have one of these!!" Confused that anyone wouldn't find this awesome!
Charles will nod to Talon, "If it is has your Dwarven guarantee, Talon, then I must take it. Thank you. Oh! Could one of you that is well-versed in religion maybe take a look inside that tent. There is some shrine in there with a deity I'm not familiar with." He will take the belt after he finishes the spell.
Le'gal frowns at the gnome. But thinking back to the story, she nods, seeing the answer within it. "That explains things. Some, at least."She whispers mostly to herself. Though a pointed ear twitched at the mention of her name, the bugbear remained lost in thought. Even the request for clarification about the belt fell on deaf ears. At first. "A shrine? Mm.. I see. A moment." She starts to step inside, only to stop and look back at Talon.
"Cube? Oh... They-..." She catches herself. "Perhaps leave important words for other place." Le'gal motions to the nearby walls, reminding him hopefully of the warning about them having ears. Afterwards, she carries on inside, trusting if she sees the beads in Charles hand for the gnome to figure things out after his current spell. "Hn. Shrine indeed. But let's see..." Le'gal spends the next few moments scratching her head and trying to recall information on the symbolic figure. She even at one began whispering and praying to her own deity for insight.

"You'll begin failing to keep your memories from one reincarnation to the next, fellow wizard." Sparklegem answers Charles' question. "Might even go a bit insane. That's how you know."

The gnome points to the door at {EK 18} (check map in this post.)
Uncertain about the answer, Talon focuses on the magical cube instead. He has spent some time with it now, and has begun to understand that any combination of two runes on the front face of the cube, one in the outer dial and one in the inner one, will produce a figure in the center (a droplet, a leaf, etc.). Each figure is accompanied by an unique reconfiguration of the top face of the cube (i.e. the lock), which requires a key to unlock. Once the correct key is placed inside, a light is emitted from the bottom face, demanding a magical sacrifice. Once offered, the back face of the cube will produce a patch of liquid wall, a gate of sorts. At least, this is what the studies and the experimentation so far have led Talon to believe.
As Charles begins his safehouse conjuring, Le'gal heads to the tent. What she sees reminds her of no deity she has ever heard about. The shrine is full of candles and incense, but the headpiece is a huge replica of a many-petaled lotus flower, golden and night-purple in color. An item of importance was clearly placed in the middle, but it has since been removed (OOC: the bead necklace).
Charles then finishes his spell, opens the door, and invites everyone for a long 24-hour rest in his plane-mansion. One by one, the party members make their way in. Once the last one inside, Graxximus, looks around, he and the rest of the party notice that Sparklegem never followed. Poking your head out to look for him reveals that he is no longer nearby.

Please describe what you are doing for the next many hours. To gain the benefits of a long rest you must spend at least 20 hours inside. As part of letting me know what you are doing for that time, you can go ahead and complete a long rest; no interruptions. And yes, Sparklegem is gone.)
Graxximus begins to doff his armor once inside. He is somber.
"If what the gnome says is true... We must defeat this Lysanderoth. I fight with the passion knowing that if I fall in battle I may have the chance to battle forever in the eyes of Tempus at the Warrior's Rest. If I die here... I will forever serve this Lysanderoth. We must focus on survival. And doing whatever it takes and whatever is necessary. The gnome gave us great information but I fear he will come back to harm us."
Talon discusses things with Grax and the others. "I agree that we must defeat this Lysanderoth but that does not necessarily mean we must meet him face to face. If we can study these magic items we currently posses it is possible we can either skip past some of the difficulties or possibly make them easier. I understand how this device works but I'm not sure of the outcome when it is activated. We must choose a face by turning the dial, then find a key to unlock that face, then offer a sacrifice of some kind in order to activate it. Then there is the little problem of what is on the other side. We do not necessarily end up in a better place. We have several of these wonderful gems from the Nagpa's room and could use one as a sacrifice at some point but I'm not sure, other than pooling our resources to help pick the lock, how to find a key. I don't plan on using this yet but if we find something like a key we can discuss how to make this work to our advantage." Talon looks around to see if the others have ideas.
He will wait the full time needed to recover in this place using the time to rest and discuss with the party options as they move forward.
Le'gal follows Graxximus example, leaving the cleaning of both it and eventually the rest of her clothing(after the meeting) to see to things be cleaned and mended to their best ability. While the others began the conversation, a paranoid bugbear found a comfortable seat to begin warding part of the immediate room against detection. A just in case Lysanderoth and their viewers sought to get a glimpse into their plans. Even as she works on the spell, Le'gal kept what attention could be spared on the words, but held her tongue until its completion.
"Eight Hours. I bought what could there."Is all she offers as the perimeter of diamond dust flares briefly with light, then fades from existence. "Not sacrifice, not think. More personal sacrifice."Le'gal regards her own hands. "The miracles bestowed upon me, I gave to the cube as I worked it. Seemed to fuel it as I went. Would do same for arcane practioners potential reserves. Time on otherside, however is unknown. But limited, for sure."Reminding Talon of the pool back to the tower. "The keys /are/ the gems. One being lost when-... Anyways." She avoids looking at Charles while he remains around to look to Grixx and the others. "Not wrong. Madness already set in him. Not long 'fore he joins friends again. We... a last hope."
Le'gal is quiet for a time to let her words sink in. "On the.. *ahem*... subject of preparations. I intend to ask Erathis following next rest more questions. May not work here, but... either way, Could use suggestion? And... on the... *clears threat*... subject of preparations... Does anyone wish to.. get married? Or given thought of dedicated themselves -- For a day -- to the Lady of Order. To feel at least in part what we -- I feel, and be granted a measure of strength?"

Once finshing her meal the tortle inspect the staff for an hour. Swing it around a few time checking the balance and casting goodberry while holding the staff seeing if it can be used a druidic focus. If there garden in the mansion she got some peace of mind there.
As for supper she prepare some turkeys.

Talon looks at the cute BugBear and thinks for a bit and says "Oh whatever; I understand we can gain from these kinds of unions and so I will agree as long as I don't have to take you home to my parents. Heaven knows I've made worse choice in my life." He smiles and takes her hand and kisses it and extends his bow.

Sigil had point. Even if my Lady would want otherwise."She smirks."But nice knowing you'd make such sacrifice." Aside from clearing Nox up on the cube situation, getting more suggestion about questions, and feasting upon the meal with a grace unseen in most of her kind, Le'gal spends the remainder of her time in the mansion adding detail to her map.
That, and spending an extraordinary amount of time soaking in the baths, trying to sort out the myriad of memories and spirits still bound to her own. After resting and meditating in the libraries in silent prayer, she seeks deeper communion with Erathis, cast Aid on her self and the others, and Death Ward upon herself and Nox(if accepted).
(@Lerus: Her questions will be added/edit before end of the day. Still working them out.)
Le'gal, Nox, and Sigil gain the benefit of Aid cast at 8th level(35 Maximum HP increase/gained). Graxximus, Charles, and Talon gain the benefit of Aid cast at 5th level(20 Maximum HP increased/gained). Le'gal and Nox(if accepted) gain the benefit of Death Ward cast at base(4th) level.
Charles will look up from his book to answer Nox, "There are enough bedrooms for all of us to have a separate bedroom. You can take the big one if you keep cooking these wonderful meal."
He answers Le'gal, "I do not wish to get married to anyone. I have a love outside of the trials," he pauses, "if she'd even take me in my current form..."
((After the long rest and when they're about to leave the mansion he will cast Mage Armor on himself raising his AC to 17.))
At some point he asks, "So this mansion is in the middle of the space we fought Ooguay in, right? How do we know when we all come out of this thing that we won't find any sort of allies he has in the room looking for him? Perhaps we should've placed the mansion in a safer location..."
Graxx sits down and stretches his legs out in front of him moaning. "Ugh... It's been a tough few days. Say, one of you wizards. What plane would you say we are on? Are we still in our prime material plane or whatever?"
Talon laughs as Le'gal reacts poorly to his advances. "Dwarves are nothing if not mercenary, even in matrimony. I watched Sigil and he didn't seem entirely willing. Are you proposing to force his hand?" Talon smiles and bows again and then wanders to his room to rest and sleep. His stomach hurts from eating to much. He yells out to the others "Wake me up when it is time to move on!" you all hear a loud belch and a sigh of contentment.

Graxx: You take your armor off and relax a bit. At some point, you decide to practice some with your new Mace of Smiting so you can get used to its handling. You've been fighting with blades for most of your time here so the extra practice comes in handy. Over the next couple hours, you get used to its weight, and feel confident on your skills. Eventually, you ask Charles to fabricate a few servants out of inanimate objects (i.e. flavor on the servants that come with the Mansion) so you can test the weapon's special trick against constructs. It's destructive power seem to thrive against this type of enemy and you can't wait to sink this flanged mace in the chest of some lifeless but worthy foe. The meals and rest time than follow are well earned.
Talon: You relax for a few hours but then decide it is time to go to work. You first study the cube a bit longer so that you can get more certainty on how it works. Le'gal pops in to correct a few of your flawed conclusions and you agree with her way of thinking. For a moment there is a spark. So much so, that when she proposes a union of practicality you wonder if there is another reason for the timing of the offer. The moment is just as quickly lost as your words seem to cause more harm than otherwise. Waving that misunderstanding out of your mind, you refocus on a few other queued tasks. You recall Fancy back to your side, then move on the examine your new Horn of Blasting. It is an item for a gambler, that's for sure, but the odds are not as bad as you first thought. In a pinch, this could save your life. Then, the comforts of a well-made bed become irresistible and you fall asleep. You wake up to two different but equally terrific meals.
Charles: Your relaxation activity is, unsurprisingly, a few hours of good reading. The library in the Mansion is vast and you alternate from serious study to fiction work depending on your whims. You eventually switch to you own Enduring Spellbook, making long but well-thought out decision on what spells to prepare for when the time of respite comes to an end. Next, you spend three uses of you Identify spell to fully understand the bead necklace you took from the lotus shrine. Most of the 24 large beads are just that, beads. Two of them turn out to be Beads of Nourishment, and a third one is a simple Bead of Refreshment. Even more interesting than these three bead of mundane use, are the six black pearls. Those clearly hold spell within them and seem to have the ability to recharge. You learn you can cast specific spells from the black pearls, as long as you are wearing this necklace. To your slight disappointment though, the stored spell are on the more divine side of scholarly learning, as opposed to the arcane side of things, in this Necklace of Prayer Beads. Moving on to enchanted items that would fall nearer to your heart's love for the arcane, you spend the necessary amount of time to attune to both you Belt of Dwarvenkind and Mantle of Spell Resistance (Please note that you have now attuned to three items. You may not attune to any more magic items without ending attunement on a previous one). You then sleep and eat for the rest of your time here. Just before leaving, you refresh you Mage Armor.
Le'gal merely pats the little guy on the shoulder. "Wouldn't be worried. Haflings make fine mates."It's hard to tell if she's being serious or not, as she doesn't elaborate or even crack a smile at the statement. She merely gives him a few more comforting pats as she moves on with things.
Soon after...
"So I recall. And forgot." Le'gal had commented earlier, then squints at Talon. "And I have no idea what mean."Preferably before he can press her further on the matter, the bugbear seperated from the others at that point to settle the remaining free time and evening affairs.
Later...
Le'gal frowns at Charles assertation about the labyrinth being in the material plane. But then it jogs something about lysanderoth that leaves her staring at the cube intently for a few moments. She then looks to Charles. "This mansion has own protection, yes. To make less noticeable while in use?"A grimace plays on her face as she turns towards the door.
For the Communion Questions Earlier:
Can we find Lysanderoth in the Labryinth before our next full rest? Are there enemies awaiting us outside of the mansion upon leaving it? Will the dice in Charles possession be the key by which we can navigate the labyrinth?
Addendum to previous post:
In her soul searching during the following hours, assuming such can be even had, Le'gal draws upon Erathi's strength for one final preparing miracle. Using what limited knowledge she has on Lysanderoth, Le'gal speaks his name as she breathes deep the scent of burning incense. But knowing it not to be enough, she goes further during the ritual, describing his residence to be outside the prime material, his hand in orchestrating the trials her family -- group are involved in, and of the unique reincarnate seemingly bound to their very being due to him. All in an effort to seek out more about the potential legend the being is starting to feel more alike.
(@Lerus: For the sake of Legend Lore, I'm claiming one of those 3 sets of spell material for 4 castings of the spell.)
Talon listens to Charles wide eyed! "Speaking as a Dwarf you will find that belt amazingly useful." Talon seems to be getting a little too emotional about it.
