Quick question about Roondra's—if I'm already at the uncommon cap for level 4 (two items and one token), could I spin, get a token, and then immediately trade the two tokens to stay at cap? I'm assuming I can't, just want to make sure.
Also, can I change my starting item after this match?

Since you have an uncommon token from Roondra's (I assume that's what your third magic item is?), you can trade it along with either of your other items for any other uncommon item. That would be the way to change your starting item into something else. That would also free up a magic item space, so you could roll for uncommon tokens again. In the meantime, as BDaddLy said, you can still roll for common tokens.

I like the idea of being ablet o potentially roll for an uncommon token if you're at your max as long as you spend it immediately to trade along with another token/item for something new. As it is right now, you can easily end up with 1 token and X magic items to be at max uncommon (or rare/etc) items, leaving that 1 token useless (assuming you're happy with your other items), simply taking up space. Granted it could come in as you level later, but...

I'm strongly against this idea. The maximum number of magic items exists for a reason. If we ignore it, characters who get lucky at Roondra's will have too much of an advantage. A single token is still useful, since you can trade it along with something else.
I just really don't think having an extra token is that much of a problem. It will never prevent you from gaining a magic item through actual play, so it's nothing but a good thing to have.

Z'is right here. I agree.
Still mentally debating over the wild shape (and by extension, Find Familiar) limitations.

Actually, looking back I hadn't thought about the fact that the token you can get from Roondra's lets you to one more than the number of magic items you'd have just from the 1 starting + winning every match as you level up. (So at level 4, you have 1 starting item, 1 item won when you leveled, then potentially the 1 token). Roondras basically just lets you have a token to be able to trade the item you win for one you actually want if there aren't any choices you like. Or get a token you didn't get for leveling on a loss at the wrong level.
Looking at it that way, it doesn't bother me having the 1 token I can't trade if I'm happy with my other items.
I would be in favor of that, makes things a lot simpler.
Just want to be sure—the whole PMing of turn botting thing is not going to be allowed in the future, correct?

No, I meant change my starting item without a token since it wasn’t random originally. Fair enough though.
