While it's alright if I do it, I wouldn't mind you all to help pull the game forward ;) Just take a decision on what you want the group to do every once in a while, and take the lead. The others will undoubtedly follow. While normally it might be a shitty thing to do, PbP is simply not really suited for democratic group consensus, which I've noticed in more than just this game. We're all online at different times and I know from my personal schedule I am not always available to make the call, so if we continuously wait on one person to make a decision, the game will slow down extremely (as this example shows).
Right now it feels a bit like this has become Jilrana's show with the rest of you following along, and I'd love to see you guys/girls step up and take charge of the situations we're presented with as well. Just Leroy Jenkins all over the place! Trust me, it works better than waiting for everyone to agree on a single course of action ;) (Just, y'know, if people are hurt maybe give them time to recover.)
In fact, I know people are hesitant to roleplay other peoples' characters, but I would be perfectly fine if you incorporate Jilrana in your post and have her do small things if it helps your RP and/or move the story forward. In most cases I will just roll with it, incorporate it into her personality for my own posts. That includes having her talk, by the way.
"My gut instinct says we break camp and follow, yes, but it would take time and by then they might slip off into the darkness again. And I'd hate to have to look for caltrops in the night." She whispers back with a grin. With a look at the others she says,
"Get ready to break camp quickly, but don't start yet. Me and Nadariel are going out for a look again. Speaking of, Nadariel, guide me around the caltrops, would ya?"
Dor focuses on pathway Jilrana and Nadariel took leading out towards the lights. He places the candle he was holding back into his pack and settles in for guard duty.
He then splits his attention between the opening in the caltrops and stoking a fresh fire in the center of camp.
"We'll may be in need of this soon. It will also help them find there way back."
Dor packs his smaller\personal items, but leaves the rest of the camp up as per Jilrana's suggestion.
Jilrana and Nadariel make their forward through the dark quickly yet quietly. Their decision to move right away bore fruit almost immediately. Not only were they able to catch up to the small sparkles of light, they could hear guthral grunts and squeals. They couldn't make out words but venturing close they could tell group the were following were kobolds. This particular group appeared to be eight or nine of dark skin. If not for the bright moon and dark shiny hide, they might have slipped by unnotice.
Following them out into the rocky field and then part way up the mountain the two ended up having to move slower as the crunch of the rocks became a little louder. They soon realized that the small light forms proved an advantage for the creatures it disturbed the rocks less. Regardless, there was enough chattering among the group to cover any slight noise they made. Once at the edge of the small mountain they group moved roughly 15 feet up the side before disappearing. Fearing they may loose the trail yet again. The two made a straight line to where they disappeared. After several minutes of searching the area they thought the kobolds had disappeared to they found section thick heavy moss. Having passed over it already a few times in their search the eventually discovered that the moss had been woven onto a heavy cloth and this covered a rough stone doorway that lead deeper into darkness.
Back at the camp, Dor continued to watch with much apprehension. He had judged the distance to be about 300 feet away yet it was nearly an hour had gone since the two had left. Just when he nearly had enough waiting he saw two figures making their way. When they got close enough he could hear Jilrana's voice in a loud whisper stating that they were back and not to shoot her.
Jilrana's hands were itching for a continued pursuit, but with the Kobolds being able to move so easily in the darkness she resigned herself to Nadariel's decision. "Agreed, let's find out more tomorrow."
With a friendly pat on Dor's shoulder she moves to her tent. There was still time for a bit of sleep before her time came to stand watch over the camp.
Nadariel remained alert during his part of the watch. The others, not so much, but despite that, there were causes for alarm that evening. The rest of the night passes uneventfully and the morning light begins to shine. The group, has a quick meal and discusses their plan to continue their investigation into the Kobolds as they have several more days before they are due to return.
After cleaning up the camp, Nadrariel and Jilrana lead the group back to where the door was found. The travel in the day light took just a few minutes to get to where they first spotted the Kobold. Then another few minutes to travel part way up the small mountain to where the moss covered entrance was. Pulling it back revealed something unexpected. Well sculpted stone steps lead deeper down perfectly squared corridor fit for average sized humanoids, not small, rough holes that snaked about that Kobolds were known for. The tunnel goes deep, into the dark beyond sight into darkness.
Dor sets up an oil lamp for use in the caves. Extremely well rested, he begins looking around the entrance. His weapon not far, Dor moves his hand around the walls and ceiling in the daylight. He looks at the stonework nearby for intricate details...
...such as the size of who made them, what tools they used, and any markings.

He smirks, "Wouldn't it be the damnedest thing if we stumble upon something really big in there? You know, something extremely large that shouldn't fit or a hell hole filled with a thousand demons."
With a solid rest, his actions and demeanor are much more enthusiastic, though he wouldn't admit it the cause.
Dor grabs an unlit candle from his bag, then speaks.
"Well, if we're in agreement that we've seen something. I'd say that's the best we've gotten in an entire day of searching."
He screws up his face, and in an unpleasant tone mutters,
"Maybe we should go have a look?"
Perception 9 how many lights are there, are they moveing up or down the mountain?
Nadariel looks at Jilrana: “D.Do we follow them?”
