With no disagreement provided, the group continues to follow Nadariel and Dor as they head further into the forest tracking the source of the goblins. The trail lead in what appeared to be an odd and random pattern going here and there and stopping and continuing again. It took some time before realizing that they were following their strange hunting pattern. However, they eventually found the trail that began to head back towards their camp. As they continued, the a terrible stench hit them. Something akin to a mixture of rancid meat and fecco matter. Moving a little further, towards the source you begin to make out the tell-tale signs of habitation. More tracks on the ground, a faint trail of smoke in the distance, and a decrease in the ambient noise of the forest.
"Goblin camp." Jilrana whispers as she sniffs the air. She gestures at her eyes, then makes a walking gesture with her fingers and points forward, indicating that she could move ahead to have a closer look, but holds off for any response from the group. They are a small group, after all, but she found it usually was smart, even in small groups, to have two people up ahead to scout. As a suggestion, she wiggles her finger back and forth between herself and Nadariel. She'd noticed he knew how to step lightly, and she did not fully trust her own eyes either, it had happened that she'd missed important details before, back when it were still training missions.
Nadariel looks around for some kind of landmark. ( a hill or a large tree )
Keeping his voice as low as posible:
“I d.don‘t think a frontal assault would be wise. We s.should try to lure another scouting party or two out of there and a.ambush them. I a.agree with Jilrana that we need more information. The two of us try to get a c.closer look. We will regroup b.back here, but if something happens g.give us a loud signal and we regroup up there. Keep an eye on the sky, one l.large light, come to us. Four small l.lights meet at the regroup point. Be p.prepared we may will have some g.goblins on our heals.“
He points at a close by landmark while talking about the backup regroup point.
If no objections are raised he starts to sneak towards the Goblin camp.
Jilrana moves off alongside Nadariel, carefully placing her feet to ensure she moves as quietly as she can, and pouring some arcane energy into herself to quicken her reflexes. Slowly she also creates some space between her and the Half-Elf, but makes sure to keep it under thirty feet so any hand signals still come across.
After discussion the group splits up. Nadariel and Jilrana heading towards the camp, quietly and the others heading towards the closest thing they had to a landmark within sight, a much thicker, gnarly black barked tree. They make it over with weapons ready, eyes opened and with no issues.
Nadariel and Jilrana slowly make their way towards the camp. Moving slowly and quietly, they avoid any sign of trouble and getting into visual range. A mismash of tents, shanties and other cobbled together housings spread out in a circle. Grubby goblins moved about the camp. Some fought over of cooking food, others ran around with knives but two hobgoblins were given a wide berth by the others. By best estimates there were at least twelve goblins and two of the hobgoblins at this camp.
I signal Jilrana and we carefully sneak back to meet up with the rest of our group.
Once we're regrouped, we fill them in on the situation: „W.we are outnumbered three to one. A dozzen g.goblins and two hobgoblins, maybe more. We could try to l.lure some of them out, make a thundersound and s.start a small fire. That should catch t.there attention...„
Jilrana nods, although she also offers different options."We could also mark the location and let a bigger group of soldiers deal with the camp. We were told to deal with smaller groups, after all.
"Or, we could also simply wait and watch, study their methods. If they send out small hunting or raiding groups, we could ambush those, limiting the productivity for this camp, possibly to the point where they start starving. We have some time to spend here, after all."
Dor mulls it over, agreeing Jilrana but somewhat excited to sound the rumbling of thunder, he lowers his head and lets out a small laugh.
"Aye, I think Jilrana has it. We should wait for them to send out scouting parties and take them out. In the meantime, we can setup a kind of camp here while keeping a sentry on their's."
Elisha looks at the party and says "I do not have means of communication with the base. I also forgot to ask what they considered a 'large' group so, I guess that is up to us. Also,I cant cast the Sleepy, Sleepy spell until I have a long rest."
Floor covering is a mixture of dirt, weeds, old fallen leaves, sticks and moss. While it's not "dry" it certainly isn't moist either. Could it catch fire possibly. Could a wild fire happen, possibly in the right circumstances. As for wind, it's nearly imperceptible ground level but looking up you can see the leaves move from slight breezes but cant tell the direction.
"We can distract a group of them like Nadariel said, but we wouldn't want to risk the whole camp. Perhaps we should trick them into thinking there is an animal or group of animals nearby. They might send a few hunters our way in hopes for food."
Jilrana sides up to Dor. "I say we camp nearby for a while, observe their patterns. They will send out a small group eventually. Communication just has to be done the old fashioned way, if nobody has magical means. If we camp close, I don't think there would be a lot of danger. Scout priority should be personal safety, after all."
„If we c.camp to close chances are they will spot u.us. We don‘t have the n.numbers to set up a strong watch. And some of us are crap at watching i.in the night. It would be easy to m.miss a single scout. And once w.we miss that scout we will have to d.deal with the whole group ambushing us.
How about we retreat f.for now, rest up and come b.back in the morning? We can prepare more usefull spells and w.we can spend the whole day watching them and waiting for a.an opportunity.“
Dor nods to Nadariel,
"The tracks are fairly clear for now so maybe we can just follow it till they aren't. Lead the way."
Dor resets himself and his things for travel, and moves towards the path waiting just before the brush for Nadariel and the others.

Jilrana don‘t forget guidance
Dor nods and heads toward the regroup point.
If anything happens, Dor will use Thaumaturgy to signal, increasing his voice by three and producing a rumble of thunder.

Boofa agrees, and is ready to attack and defend his party should anything happen. He heads over with the rest of the group to the rendezvous point.

How moist is the forrest? If i use magic to set a tree on fire, would it start a wildfire?
What way is the wind blowing?
Are there any animals near? Squirrels or birds?
