Noldeme: It's not much, but it's something. Your instinct of heading to the local tavern payed off somewhat, as a drunk tavern patron responds "Aye, I headed up there not too long ago, nearly died. Those damn *Hick* animals, gave me a nasty scar, see. " She pulls back her arm, revealing some small marks. Another patron nearby responds "Lani, not that arm, that was from your fishing incident a year ago." She then rolls up her other sleeve to reveal a varity of marks and scratches that are scabbing over. The wounds don't look too bad, and passive insight says that she might be hyperbolizing a bit.
It might not have been the whole story. There's a possibility that the random lady on the tavern didn't stay on that path for long and neither did she run into as much danger as Noldeme would, but the Aasimar decided that the information she gathered was enough. "Okay, gotcha. I guess it's quite dangerous to go there, huh? Well, I think I'll run the risk. Been trying to become an adventurer for the longest time now." She says, simply to entertain the patron before leaving.
Noldeme packs all her stuff on her backpack and puts her weapons in strategical places where they'd be easy to be equipped. When she's almost ready to go, she prepares one more thing. She finds/buys a purse and fills it with multiple small stones to use later, and she places that purse tied to her belt.
If applications are still open, I would like to join. However, one question: is Unearthed Arcana treated as official for the intents and purposes of characters in this campaign, or are they not allowed?
Kita decides to hang around very near the Tower looking out for potential candidates for a team who might be interested in delving into its depths (or heights).
Backstory: Lars grew up in a relatively poor family, as a child he dreamt of living a more exciting and much more comfortable life, like the nobles and gentry of the upper city from which he hails. As a teen he quickly realised that with the right clothes (stollen) and a bit of fancy script on the right bit of paper, it's amazing what you can get away with, and with out the grind of a day in the local mill or mine. Failing his performance it also helps if you're skilled with a blade.
Lars now travels the world in search of adventure, fine wine, rich old ladies and his next big score, under the name of Duke Ardanius Ludwig Von Googlehiem.
Halyseris: You take a look around for the person in question. Even passively, he sticks out like a soar thumb, wearing an immaculate white longcoat, and he appears completely unarmed. He begins helping someone who appears injured, or maybe ill. If you would like to remain inconspicious, please make a stealth check.
Zacharias: You help people where you can, asking questions along the way. Most don't seem to know much about The Tower, apart from stories you've already heard. "Most people here go in expecting not to come out." some say sadly. "If anyone has made it out and lived to tell the tale, I'm sure they would not be staying around here." says a man.
As you are going about your work, you notice a man in an immaculate white longcoat, who also seems to be oberserving some of the wounded and ill. He certainly looks the part of a doctor, but you don't see any sort of symbols that would show his dedication to Illmater. He could be a member of Rosebush, you think, as the man he is helping appears to recognize him.
Pito: While it does seems busy, there isn't too much out of the ordinary, at least action wise. You do take notice to a small scuffle between some of the settlers here, but it's quite a bit late to intervene when you see it, as someone who is most likely a Rosebush member is already there to take care of it. You do see what appears to be a fully armored samurai moving directly towards The Tower, which is certainly impressive.
Kita: You head toward The Tower, where you see there is a large, empty clearing surrounding its entrance. However, before you even get to that clearing, you are suddenly met by a sharply dressed human woman in a suitvest, a gleaming golden feather pin on their breast; you recognize them immediately as a Corvidaen Caretaker, they look exactly like they did in your head."Heading toward The Tower are we?" They are carrying a bad on their side, which appears to be filled with bundles of posters, but do not appear to be armed.
Myria: You arrive at 'Resolve', and begin to make your way toward the Tower Base, what do you do?
Greenport:
Noldeme: You should have an extra pouch to fit some stones in, no purchase necessary. You are ready for combat at a moments notice. "One person's danger is the safety of many others." your patron whispers. "Once it is found, you will have the key to you goals."
Blackport:
Leshanna: As you take your wine the serving girl says "There's someone who would like to speak with you." She points to a larger booth closer to the back of the tavern, where a rotund looking old man nods his head, subtlely trying to signal you that he is the one the server is referring to.
Corvidae:
Duke Ardanius Ludwig 'Lars' Von Googleheim: Here at the massive festival going on here, there is plenty of adventure to be had, and lots of adventurers are here trying to make a name for themselves at the various competitions that are being held. Many of them are being sponsered by rich patrons (not the extraplanar kind) to represent their companies or factions, for a fraction of their winnings, of course. Looming over you in the distance is Corvidae castle, made from the blackest stone you've seen, and behind you, of course The Tower looms as it looms everywhere. You are currently mixed in with a crowd just outside the city walls, where there is plenty of much cheaper, and seedier, activities to do, while inside they don't allow weapons of any sort. Money seems to be constantly changing hands, and it may just soon end you in yours...what do you do?
OOC:
Aleithilithos: yes, UE is fine as long as it is the mst recent version, and also link it just to be safe.
Iexeai: Yeah, both of those are perfectly fine.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((I already made a character for Blackport. But if its absolutely necessary, I will roll again. Please share which city is which number, so I can amend accordingly. 🙂))
Halyseris moves to find a place where he can simply sit and wait to see what the person will do. As he sits he will cross his arms to hold his hand close to one of the daggers he wears on a harness over his armor. He will not attempt to hide as that would more then likely draw more attention then if he stayed out in the open.

"Aye, I heard that before. I still don't get what "goals" you keep talking about, but you appealed to my curiosity. I need to know what I'll find there." Noldeme tells her patron, whispering back to it once she's out of anyone's earshot. There was nothing left for her to prepare, so, once she confirmed everything was there one more time, she left west, toward the mountains, keeping a slow pace, trying to be quiet, while paying attention to her surroundings.

((I'm pretty sure the DM just asked because they assumed you'd be rolling for the city. You were supposed to choose from the very start, but by rolling, you're saying you don't know which place you'd like to pick, and would prefer to leave it to luck to choose it for you.))
Lars: Lars dressed in his finery, Makes his way around the stalls (competitions). He figures if he is to venture into the city and network with the upper crust he will need some gold for expenses, and at this moment the funds in his coin purse are looking a little worse for wear. He asks around to see if any of the competitions require sponsorship in the hope he can scam an advance out of an unsuspecting mark...
Loaniss: Yes, you are starting in blackport. If others have got confused, if some people started rolling dice at some of the other posts not realizing why they did it. Essentially there are 5 cities/areas to start in, and some have chosen to let the dice decide where they go.
Pito follows the armored samurai out of curiosity and begins to hum a simple three or four note pattern to himself. (I’m thinking Kill Bill style, but without obvious murder overtones, just humming).
Pito drawscomparisons between himself and the samurai. Pito’s hair is black, and eyes are a dark cobalt blue. His face is slightly angular, and his smile is broad, full of brilliant white teeth. His frame is thin, but wiry, and he’s medium height. He carries a rapier on one hip, and dagger in his boot. His pants are are soft leather, and light brown. He has a black cotton shirt, and a toughened leather jacket with a high collar, of the sort used by those expecting combat. He carries a pack, and a lute is resting near the top of the largest pocket, within easy reach, only the neck sticking out.
He looks quite different from the armored man, but Pito has a feeling they might have a lot in common, given time.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Very well..." Leshanna says to the serving girl with another curt nod. She got to her feet, movements almost dance-like, and walks across to the other table. She cocks her head as she takes in the man there, as well as those at tables nearby.
Perception: 6 (General look at those around and the man himself.)
Insight: 22 (if any of those around seem to be associated with the man.)
"You wanted to see me?" Leshanna says as she moves on up to the table. She stands next to the table, waiting to see if he offers her a seat or expects her to stay standing. She has found it easier to let them decide, after working for both kinds of people many times.
Zacharias attempts to engage the man in the white coat. "Greetings in the name of Ilmater. I am Zacharias, newly missioned here in Resolve as a servant to the poor."
