Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Solace, already expecting trouble, quietly signaled to the others on watch. Together, those with ranged weapons (Seviari, Solace, and Jorji) silently loosed a small volley of arrows towards the moonlit worgs. Silent, that is, until they found their mark. The impacted wolf cried out, a horrible yelp, before turning on its paws and searching for its assailant. The other, slightly more distant one, answered his friend's yelp and made to join him in his hunt. It was easy to see that the closer worg was the bigger of the two, quite possibly the alpha.
Rip and Flint steeled themselves for what was coming.

The first worg made for the nearest target that he saw, Flint the dwarf, bounding towards him at speed! Jorji's arrow had glanced off his thick hide, but Seviari and Solace had both found their mark, their arrows sticking out of the wolf's haunches and shoulder. These seemed to be hobbling the creature slightly, but also probably served to make him madder.
