So I’m attending my first AL session at a con in September, and there’s something I’m super confused about. Since this will be my first AL session, do I make a character starting at level 1 or what? It’s in person registration only, and the adventure tiers are 1 and 2, so that’s ranging from levels 1-10. Anyone know what I’m supposed to do?
If you are signing up to play something in the Forgotten Realms campaign (and the vast majority of AL content is the FR campaign) then you have to start a character at level 1 or at level 5. The documents mentioned above give you the details on the sources you can use and how to build your character (point buy or standard array only). Content from Eberron, Critical Role and Magic the Gathering sources aren't allowed in FR AL games but check the specific sources in the documents mentioned.
P.S. Tier 1 games are for level 1-4 characters and Tier 2 is for level 5-10 characters.
Also depending on the con and the adventure being ran, some pregens will be available. To follow up David42 it is 27 point buy. Do you have a list of the adventures being ran?
