Also, keep in mind that if you don't have a +1 and would like access to XGtE spells for example you can still choose XGtE as your +1. However, if you already have a +1, it can not be changed to XGtE even if XGtE contains the same content. However, you still use the revised rules in XGtE if they differ from earlier content even if your +1 doesn't change. (for example the swashbuckler, SCAG would remain your +1 but the revisions to Swashbuckler in XGtE would be used in play).

Is AL allowing a rebuild with XGtE beyond 4th level?
Or do we stick to the normal rules, you can't rebuild after 4?
Normal rules. You can still rebuild a 5th level character that has not yet played any tier 2 content though.
