Hello everyone, I am writing an adventure that involves an apocalyptic hunting cult. I have a monster that is tied to the cult, but not exactly part of the hierarchy. Its abilities revolve around using its blood and its enemies' blood to fight. I have most everything figured out, I just need an ominous name. I'm open to anything, even if it doesn't exactly make sense (I'll figure it, lol)
If it had its own name (like a demon would) then it could be literally anything name-like; Sanvillior, for example.
If it was named by the Cult, it should be ominous and made to sound impressive (the cult, I assume, has this as part of their beliefs so it should be impressive), like Sanvillior the Ever-Thirsting.
If it was named by the people it was unleashed upon, they didn't stop to ask its name; it could be the Bloodhunter, the Curdler, the Crimson Bane, the Bloodstalker, the MarrowChiller, etc. depending on how they view it and what it does - if it uses peoples blood to control them it could be the Bloody Puppeteer, or if it inflicts damage when it gets peoples blood, it could be the Blood Boiler.
Note that all these names are not mutually exclusive - the beast might call itself Sanvillior, the cultists might call it Sanvillior the Ever Thirsting, and the victims might call it Blood boiler. It all refers to the same creature.

“Finish Him!”
Bob.
Something with Sang in it, which fits the blood theme.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
Sangwyllion, combo of "sang" and "gwyllion".

Sanguivore?
Blood Demon translates in German to something like Blutdamon and Blood Terror translates to Terrore di Sangue in Corsican.
I come up with word ideas and try translations into other languages, and sometimes I get some good inspiration.
