So I got this error when I tried to publish my subclass:
This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
Remember, private homebrew is automatically shared with other users in your campaigns and does not need to be shared with the community for players to access.
I went back and "checked my math", it has granted abilities at 1, 6, 10, and 14, and links to Speak with Animals, Animal Messenger, Bigby's Hand, and exhaustion as far as mechanics go... nothing else.
You can only link to anything that is in Basic Rules for Homebrew due to Homebrew being publicly/free available and everything else needed to be bought to access it. Even if its something in the PHB. So if you have any tooltips linking to something outside of Basic it wont work. Which could also be why its throwing up the class feature error.

did you read the post everything they listed is in basic and this would not bring up class features (only the class features being set to the wrong levels would.)
So I went back in as suggested and replaced Bigby's Hand with Arcane Hand, double checked that nothing else was linking to Bigbys, and that fixed...the wrong part of the problem?
I don't understand how that would fix the "necessary class features with the correct required levels" part, but not the licensed part O_o
The Subclass has the following links embedded:
Speak with Animals, Animal Messenger, Arcane Hand, and Exhaustion, nothing else. Double checking each link all four lead to the basic rules.

When that warning about “data mapped to it...” comes up it has nothing to do with hyperlinks or tooltips. That is warning you that one or more prohibited spells have been attached to your subclass, either under the Basic Information section as “Additional Specific Spells,” or as part of a class feature in either the “Spells” or “Additional Spells List” subforms. Prohibited content includes any homebrewed spells that are not already shared with the comunity, and any official spells not available as Free Content.
The approved official Free Content spells include any published by WotC for free in the Basic Rules,* the SRD,* or the EEPC, and all three are downloadable as PDFs which I took the library of linking for you. *(DDB combined those first two documents for us into one “sourcebook” presented simply as the “Basic Rules,” which was hella convenient in concept, if a bit misleading in name as DDB’s “Basic Rules” include waayyy more than the actual Basic Rules.)
Please note that all of the spells from the Basic Rules & SRD were also included in the PHB, and all the spells from the EEPC were included in Xanathar’s, but not all spells from the PHB or Xanathar’s are free content.
So basically, an official spell that isn’t on that list☝️, or an unpublished homebrewed spell must be attached to your subclass somewhere. Whatever spells are tooltiped in the description fields for your subclass don’t matter at all for this, what matters are the spells attached mechanically. So, for example, if you used a preexisting subclass as a template but didn’t remove all prohibited spell that were already mapped to the template, that would be your problem.
Please remember that you do not have to publish your homebrews to use them. All homebrewed content in someone’s “collection” is automatically shared with every DDB campaign they either host or join. So your friends can already use your subclass and anything else in “[Your] Homebrew Collection,” and vice versa.
If that were the problem the system would be kicking it back with a different warning that says:
This Spell cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Spell has text that includes External Links

Yeah, the only spells, which are tooltips, are Animal Friendship, Speak with Animals, and Arcane Hand - all in the basic rules, double checked against the link you posted.

Bigby's is NOT a Basic Rules spell, its in the PHB which therefore would throw up an error. So yes, I did read everything. So next time you want to criticize like so, go and check where a feature is from. Also, I have had that same thing come up when doing my homebrew and it was all caused by one non-Basic Rules spell I linked to.

If you read through the comments, Bigby's was changed to Arcane Hand, and the error is still presenting :(

It seems you somehow missed the entire point of my post. (It’s almost as if you hadn’t read it at all…. 🤨) Please allow me to repeat the message for you:
👉Your tooltips do not matter whatsoever for the issue you are having.👈
One more time (just in case):
The tooltips are not your problem.
You can tooltip any flipping thing you want in your homebrews and it will not trigger the error message you are getting. Have I finally made that clear?
So what is causing your issue?
I’m so glad you asked… again…. 🙄
As I already explained above in my last post to you (you know, the one you quoted)….
The error message you are getting is being caused by data that is actually mapped to your subclass in one of three (3) specific places:
On the very first page of your subclass with the header: Basic Information down near the bottom (just above where you could add avatars to your subclass) you can find a field labeled “Additional Specific Spells.” Make sure there are no prohibited spells entered in that field.
Your subclass has four (or more) features at 1st, 6th, 10th, and 14th levels. Each of those class features has a number of subsections. The fourth one down (directly below the subsection designated as “Modifiers” and above the one designated as “Actions”) is a subsection designated as “Spells.” If that subsection for any of your class features shows a number in parentheses, that indicates the one or more Spells has been “mapped” to that class feature in that subsection. If you see any, click the big blue thing that looks like this: ➕. That will expand the subsection and display a list of one or more entries. For each entry, click “edit” and you will be redirected to a new subform. The topmost field on that form is labeled “Spells.” Make sure that no prohibited content appear in that field on any of your class features. You must check every class feature individually.

So...
It was in "Additional Specific Spells"... Catnap. -_-
Thanks :)

They're links, but they're links to the basic rules.
On a hunch I changed all the links to tooltips and still have the same problem.
*the homebrew tool breaks if any links are included even to basic rules always use tool tips instead*
