I have been trying my hardest to remove the dex bonus given to unarmored AC's, but it continues to add it, even after using Ignore: Unarmored Dex AC Bonus. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
I've read those, but I'm still having the same problem. No matter how many times I do it, and how many times I hit save, my subclass flat out will NOT ever drop DEX from the armor class calculation. There is none more "saves" or "ignores" that can be done, I've waited days not minutes, I've deleted characters and recreated them...the advice in the link provided, while very helpful in other regards, simply does not work for this.

I know for a fact that the Ignore->Unarmored Dex AC Bonus modifier works as it has many, many times on my homebrews. Are you sure you applied it properly? Are you sure you re-saved the whole subclass? Are you sure you have the correct version of the subclass on that character? Are you sure the character is the right level? If so, please post a link to your character so someone can look into it for you.

Modifier: Ignore? I use Modifier: Set:
MODIFIER TYPE: Set
MODIFIER SUBTYPE: AC Max Dex Unarmored Modifier
FIXED VALUE: 0
Now that I read my original Hot-To I believe I had to create a Magic Item to accomplish this because it is not possible to do in a subclass. Though that was 3 years ago and the subclass feature was explicit that particular AC calculation was when the character was wearing the specialized magic armor, so I may have just made it as a Magic Item because it wasn't an always on type thing.
Very weird. I'll take a screenshot later, maybe I'm missing something? I probably came off standoffish in my last post, any frustration is just with trying to figure this out, not with anyone in particular, by the way. I appreciate the help!
Just to confirm, I'm trying to do this on a subclass, in case it makes a difference.
So, I'm having the same issue with the whole replacement of DEX for UAAC. I'm trying to have it so that if my CON in higher on a monk then the UAAC uses the CON stat over the DEX stat but it doesn't even register it as a thing. Is there a wait time I should give it or no?
There’s no way to do that. The way the system is set up, Dex is automatically added to all AC, and for a Monk Wis is also “Set” to UAAC as well. You can “Set” Con and it will automatically use the higher of Wis or Con, but the Dex will also automatically be added. You can tell it to "Ignore” Dex, but then it will still only use Wis or Con.
You could instead add Con as a “Bonus,” and that will stack on top of Wis & Dex, and then tell it to “Ignore” Dex, and that will get you a result of 10+Wis+Con like you want, but it won’t ever default back to Dex under any circumstance.
I set it up the way you suggested and it's still not ignoring the UAAC DEX bonus. It does add the CON bonus to the AC but the DEX is still there even after I have Ignore - Unarmored DEX AC Bonus on in the modifiers.
Did you remember to re-save the whole magic item? Does the item require Attunement? Did you wait 20 minutes for the save to update throughout the system?
Please post a link to your character sheet so someone can look into it for you.
My apologies, I thought it might be a magic item because it was acting funky and sometimes they do that. You’re right, it’s still adding Dex. And you’re sure you used the following modifier (just double checking):
Modifier: Ignore->Subtype: Unarmored Dex AC Morifier
And that modifier is attached to the Thick Skin feature?
Hmm….🤔 That is puzzling. It should be working. It works on my homebrews. Very puzzling indeed.
I see Thick Skin has no snippet, but something called Iron Body does. Are you attempting to make this a temporary thing somehow?
I don't usually post on forums, but I haven't seen a resolution online yet for this.
I am experiencing the same issue trying to create a subclass of Sorcerer that has an unarmored defense feature with 8 + Proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier. The Charisma bonus is applied, but so is the Dexterity bonus.
I will note when using the Modifier: Ignore, I do not get an option of specifically Unarmored Dex AC Modifier. What I do get are two options for the Subtype. The first is Subtype: Unarmored Dex AC Bonus and the other is Subtype: Unarmored Dex Natural AC Bonus.
I have attempted to apply one then the other and then finally both. I made sure to wait about an hour between each change and made sure to Save Changes directly under Basic Information to insure it got saved properly. I'm providing the image of using both the Ignore Modifiers and the URL to a test character sheet below.

I do see you're using a -2 bonus to Unarmored Amor Class. I've found better results with:
MODIFIER TYPE: Set
MODIFIER SUBTYPE: AC Max Dex Unarmored Modifier
FIXED VALUE: 0
That was on a Magic Item or a Feat though. I cannot remember if I tried accomplishing this in the subclass I was making.
Once the character sheet is created and the homebrew class assigned. If you click on the Shield for AC. There's an option to "Override Base Armor + DEX". I set this to 10 and it wipes out the Dex modifier entirely.

What type of homebrew are you making for this (magic item, race, feat, etc.)?

I am making a druid subclass specifically. I want the AC to be calculated at 10 + Con + Wis, but Dex always factors in regardless of the modifiers.

My first How-To was How to replace DEX in AC. Though that was for an Magic Item or a Feat.

It's not a magic item, it's a subclass for monk. I've saved and re-saved, I waited days, I refreshed the page MULTIPLE TIMES.
Idk what help looking at the character sheet is going to do when this is a create homebrew subclass problem but here: https://ddb.ac/characters/90017288/3qKxfr

Try re-saving your whole subclass, then wait 20 minutes and try “waking up” your character sheet or testing it on a new sheet. Please see the General Homebrew FAQ #6 for more information: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq). If that still doesn’t do it, Instead of Modifier: Bonus, try Modifier: Set, that might be enough to trigger it.
