If nobody else does it I’ll help, although ideally it should be someone who hasn’t competed.
Much obliged. I'm not too keen on declaring myself a winner without some additional eyes.
That’s why judges were never allowed to compete before. I didn’t think your entry was actually eligible this time either.
I thought we litigated this in the last thread. But if it's the will of the people I can hand the DM category to the Dragon_Shark, who was a close runner up with a score of (you guessed it) 4!
Edit: Matter of fact, I'm going to slightly bend the rules and retroactively vote 4/5 on my entry, ticking down the score to 3.9. That makes Dragon_Shark the co-champ with Miles and Zombies!

Nono, if I misunderstood what the group decided on don’t let me rob you of your victory. That wouldn’t be fair.
Congrats to my fellow winners! I'm all for DragonShark or ZombiesKlein being the next judge -- I look forward to making homebrew for these competitions, and not being able to submit makes it hard to do that, lol
Requesting that the next contest has an equal vote count enforced, so that all entries receive the same number of votes.
Yeah, I recommend making all non-written feedback polls in the survey “Required” (with the red asterisk) so that the votes all have equal weight.
Meh, I'm not sure I'd want that rule in place. If people have no opinion on certain brews, then we shouldn't force them to make up a score.
If you only grade half of the submissions, though, then it becomes a big deal whether you're a harsh or lenient grader. Normally, it doesn't really matter so long as you grade everyone equally, but if a harsh grader just picks a bunch of submissions to grade, those submissions will have a clear disadvantage despite not necessarily being worse than the other submissions.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

I'm genuinely shocked, I did not expect to win a category, thank you.
I've never entered before, let alone judged, so did not expect to be in this position.
My preference would be to let someone with more experience act as the next judge. That being said if nobody else is keen I'm happy to give it a go, with the caveat that I'm new at this so don't expect perfection.

Congratuloations!! And don’t worry, nobody expects perfection. Heck, you can’t ba any worse at it than I am, and I’ve done it twice now.
Sorry for my late response, Ive been in Japan. Yay! I can't believe I won. Also Im good with Dragon_Shark taking the judging role if they want it, Though I'd be willing to do it if neither of the other two wanted too.
What's everybody working on recently? I got to thinking based on a thread I started that the game could use more unique archvillains. I'm throwing together some rough ideas for a former archfey who learned how to devour true names, based on a creepypasta.
I've been working on two larger projects for a few years. One is a primer on using the Far Realm in a horror campaign. The next is all about gnomes. I've also started a smaller project that compiles some monsters and campaign hooks that would be present in the prison plane, Carceri. I've put most of these things on hold until I see how the 2024 core books shape up. The One D&D playtest material has me holding off on a lot of homebrew projects, hence I haven't been as active on DDB.
A li’l of this and a li’l of that. Some monsters, magic items, and revising a subclass I wrote a while ago. My latest significant projects are done and waiting for art so I can publish them on DM’s guild.
I’ve still got a million projects floating around, but after assisting the local high school with their Wizard of Oz performance I’m putting together a group with some friends using the Oz Campaign Setting book! I am stealing some rules from this Kickstarter to enhance gameplay, but I’m working on some custom stuff to make ordinary D&D options feel more Ozian!
I am working on two one-shots write now. One is for a roommate who hasn’t played DND yet and it is a low level adventure based around spiders and Ettercap. I am trying not to use homebrew for this one because it’s his first adventure and I don’t want it to be too complicated and because I don’t have the time or energy right now. The other one-shot is more like a mini-campaign that is themed around bees. I have done a deep dive into bee folklore and I have made a bunch of homebrew for this one.
I also have a pottery and sorrow themed adventure on the back-burner.

Alright, looks like it's up to MilestoGo_24, DragonShark, and ZombiesKlein to decide on a judge and the next set of categories for XIX!

On a relatively short module that I need to get done before Friday.
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

Stuck in development hell with a monk subclass based on meteors. I can’t think of a really good capstone.

Nice, can you suggest any threads on here to follow, I've had 2 really cool concepts for a one-shot/module but I'm not sure where to start.
