I'm having issues with Publishing a homebrew fighter subclass. I've followed every guideline I could possibly find, deleted and remade abilities several times over, and even remade the whole thing from both template and scratch, yet it keeps giving me the same result:
"This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels."
All of the class abilities are at the right level, and I have no clue why exactly it's doing this. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
I’ve been having the same issues. I don’t know if someone on the team could get back to us. It’s not super important to me right now, but I will need it soon! Let me know if you hear anything
I am having the same problem. Of course, I am nowhere near ready to publish it having only just finished creating it. It will need at least a couple of months playtesting and editing before it’s anywhere near ready to publish.
The good news is we don’t need to publish to use them. People in campaigns with us will automatically have access to our homebrews as long as they are in our collections. That way we can spend months playtesting and editing to get them right before we publish them.
As I discovered earlier and replied to a couple of posts in the Bugs forum - in order to satisfy the feature levels for the Fighter - you need to add a feature for level 5. I've absolutely no idea why that is the case - but it works.
That does indeed fix it! But is there any word on when it will be fixed so that we don't need to include a 5th level feature? I would rather push it out when the bug is no longer an issue

just give it the level 5 ability to burp thunderously loud or some other RP thing that has no real benefit.
I do this for a couple of Druid subclasses I have that don't have a 3rd level feature. If you make copies of all the official druid subclasses, Circle of Land is the only one with a 3rd level feature.
On my druid subclasses that don't have a 3rd level feature, I make a 3rd level feature with a title of .. and a description of . and set the display order to 9. This moves the feature to the bottom of the details page. Hide in sheet seems to work, but Hide in builder does not.

I haven't seen anything even confirming whether this is or isn't a bug - so *shrug*.

Someone should update https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/23242-creating-subclasses-guide to reflect 5 being a required level for Fighter.
